Good idea. Battery didn't work. Cust. Service=worse ever
2008-04-18
|
| Battery didn't ever charge properly. So the thing doesn't work unless I have it plugged into a computer. So a waste of time really. Now I have been told by Planon that it's going to take '8-12 weeks' before I can get an exchange from Planon. I think that's pathetic. And judging by the poor, poor customer service, I am expecting to be waiting for far more than 8-12 weeks. |

I Wish It Lived Up 2 the Description

|
| Do not have high hopes on the performance of this device. It functions poorly and is unreliable. Too much money for what it doesn't live up too. |

As a court reporter for Alberta Justice, I have found the Docupen scanner an invaluable tool. Many documents are filed and quoted from in court. In times past, I would have to ask the lawyers for the documents they quoted from. Now with the Docupen, it takes literally a minute to scan the document I require which causes little inconvenience to them but ensures the accuracy of the transcript. It's portable, convenient and easy to use. I'm glad to have gotten this item. It has been a great aid in the performance of my job.

TOOL OF THE TRADE
2007-10-02
|
| "The tool of all professional trades" Ask yourself , does a carpenter go to work without his hammer? or A baseball player without his bat? I am fortunate enough to have received a Planon Docupen RC700 for my birthday. I am an Insurance Broker and in a matter of 3 months have increased my annuity and insurance sales dramatically. I have sold over 1 million dollars of annuities and 80,000 in insurance premiums, not mentioning what I am still working on. In doing so I have more than doubled my income and gained a furthered respect from my clients. I am not saying that the Docupen has made the sales, but that because of the Docupen I am viewed more professional and sensitive to my clients needs, privacy and security. We live in a world were trust is now earned and used sparingly. Offering your clients piece of mind and respect is sealing the deals. I'd venture to say That Planon's Docupen would be a tool for many trades.I have told many of my clients in such fields as:: Attorney's, Doctors,Graphic designers, Marketing sales reps.,Real Estate, Financial advisor's and so many more. They agree it will become part of there everyday. Since my personal production has increased, the President of my brokerage has asked me to speak at meetings and has placed a personal interest in my rapid success story. Just last week he asked me to contact Planon and order 15 units to distribute to other agents as soon as possible. He feels everyone should provide their clients with the professionalism and security that the Docupen provides. Not to mention the added income, that's always a plus. I will leave you with one thing, think about all the books or seminars on building your business, professionalism, sales concepts, self wealth and motivational speakers. From what I have learned in the past few months is that actions speak louder than words, prove to your clients that you are worthy of them don't just say it. Thank you Brian D. |

Excellent

| This is an excellent hand held scanner. It takes practice to use becaue you need to learn to hold it steady and move it quickly without jerking it. They have a phone number for help and I needed it to get the software installed. The directions weren't accurate but the help was free and they made sure I could use the scanner before we were done. |
