Small and flimsy

I ordered this item for a Canon 28-135 lens. I suppose it serves it's purpose, but it seems a bit small and is a bit flimsy. I thought I'd try out the Opteka for my 17-55 lens and I much prefer it. It is larger and much sturdier. The thickness and size of the Opteka makes me feel much more confident that it will hold up if I ever drop the camera face down. I also think it cuts down on the amount of direct sunlight striking the lens. Go with the Opteka if you can find one that will fit your lens.
Works as expected for half the price.

I had been looking at the hood for the Canon EF 28-135 for some time, I was reluctant to pay the price Canon wanted for their hood. Adorama's hood, is exactly the same, for about half the price.
