The SA-7 is a full-fledged, single-lens reflex camera that is rugged, versatile and easy to use for beginners to photo enthusiasts.Adopting an AF-cross sensor in the center of the viewfinder, the camera has fast focusing capability and is easy to use. The SA-7's autofocus system also features a predictive AF function in the Continuous AF Mode, that lets the photographer capture a moving subject in sharp focus. This ensures optimum focus when taking pictures of subjects moving towards or away from you at constant speed. It will latch onto subjects between infinity and 26.4 feet (8 meters) moving as quickly as 30 miles per hour (50 kilometers per hour), up from 25 miles per hour (42 kilometers per hour).The camera automatically sets the shutter speed and aperture, based on the brightness of the subject, to ensure optimum exposure in [P] Program Auto. The image is divided into 8 segments, and the light intensity of each segment is measured independently. An optimum exposure is calculated based on the information obtained by this 8-segment evaluative metering. In Single AF-Mode, pressing the shutter button halfway down starts the camera operation.
