You can't go wrong with this card, simply because it works with almost any product that accepts SD cards. However, check the file size of the photos you take, because you may need more than 1GB of storage. Also, note that Retail Package means the card simply comes in a plastic protective case - nothing else!

Got this for use with an older digicam that isn't compatible with large SD cards. Worked like a charm, and the bright side of the memory limitation of the older camera is that with fewer pixels per shot, the 1GB card can hold tons of photos.

This memory card Has plenty of space on it to last you for a while, I have stored tons of long movie shots on my digital camera with this memory card. this memory card can take over 2000 2048x1536 resolution pictures, over 6500 on 1280x1024 resoulution, and over 10000 on 640x480 resolution! This memory card was much much more than I needed, and I am very happy with it's quality.

A 10-foot fall to the floor would hurt. 2000 G's would leave less than a greasy smear. Think about it, if a 150lb person was exposed to a force of gravity 2000x greater, they would weigh 300,000lbs. On the same frame, in the same amount of "material". A 2000G shock, or impact, would create worse damage as that entire force would be centered on the spot impacted instead of distributed across the item.

Maybe they just don't have a clue about physics. Maybe they are flat out lying. I suspect the latter...

I bought this card 1 month ago for my camera and it works perfect. There has been no glitches or issues with the space being used. The disk was packaged well and true to its model number it worked with my camera flawless. The camera is in constant use and everytime Ive gone to get my pictures developed the machines have read my SanDisk card perfectly

File system errors - unreliable 2007-10-24

After minimal use, the file system on this card got corrupted. I was able to fix the file system (losing all of the data). I would not use this card again for any applications where reliability is required or to store original data.

Unbelievable price for Sandisk quality. Buy this and you won't be displeased. Much cheaper than in retail stores (would recommend buying other products to reduce shipping costs using SuperSaver).

Complaint: as with most electronic storage media, 1.0GB is the advertised storage, but in reality the size is roughly 850-950mb.

personally, 1Gb Sd card is the best choice for my 7.2MP camera, why.? because with a resolution of 1600x1200, u can take about 400 pictures... and that's more than enough for me,.. with a lower resolution u can take over 2000 photos... but u pay quantity with resolution..

This card works like a dream. I use it to store almost everything including uploaded videos and photos made on my cell. And the transfer time is pretty fast. I have another that holds only about 128mb which works great also. But the 1 gig allows me to backup much more stuff. And the price can't be beat. I plan to purchase the card with 2 or more gigs now. It costs a little extra but definitely worth it.

I purchased this when the price was right. The cost of these SD memory cards have since come down considerably. I find this card works just fine in my digital camera. Although other manufacturers advertise fast speed memory for cameras, I doubt that anyone needs faster speed than this Sandisk SD memory card delivers. I marvel at this modern technolgy...sure beats the old negative photos.

One minor complaint is that I ordered this for a trip & selected overnight delivery. It arrived @ 18:00; after I already left for my trip earlier that afternoon. So my gripe isn't w/the product, but w/the shipping. If you need it overnight, understand that you might get it from DHL after 17:00.

Memory cards can be faked. Scammers will take a 256 mb card and diguise it to look like a 1 gig card--in your computer it will even say 1 gig, it just will not hold 1 GB, Apparently this is very easy to do so I would not recommend buying media card at ebay.

Sandisk has a great reputation for quality, and here at amazon the 1 GB card was only $14.24 plus shipping.

I received this just in the knick of time for vacation. I have 125 photos stored on it and counting. It seems to be working just fine!

My problem is with the seller. I gave a somewhat negative review (3 out of 5 stars) in the seller's feedback section on Amazon due to the fact that the item arrived several days late. It was to arrive between June 14 - 17th, per Amazon's shipping confirmation info. I did not receive it until June 19th - hours before leaving for vacation. The seller did refund expedited shipping costs, but only after blaming UPS and Amazon, and after 1 1/2 hours of phone calls and emails. To top it off, after the seller saw my feedback, they called me and offered to give me $5 to remove the review. Excuse me - I'm not so greedy that I'll take down my honest opinion for the equivalent of 2 lattes!! Obviously I left my feedback up. I think it's ridiculous that they offer money to essentially bribe people to be dishonest about the service received.

At this price you can't get a better card. It works just as it should and is extremely durable. I accidently dropped it and somebody(not saying who(okay it was me) stepped on it too. It still worked no problem. I have had it for a while. It also is compatible with a number of devices which I found helpful.

I've been using this with my Canon cheapie camera for a few months now. I take a mix of snapshots and "movies" and haven't had a problem with this card. Prior to this, I was using Sony technology - I think it was a generic stick though - and had to format the card and lost some precious pics. This card/camera combination is much more reliable.

And what a pawn this is. I was really skeptical of this product when I bought my first camera, not really aware of a good OR bad reputation. With electronics the argument about name brand vs. generic goes out the proverbial window with some things, and I was afraid of what might happen if this turned out to be a dud. I found out quickly that Sandisk isn't really given the proper amount of credit it deserves, and especially so since it really is a dependable piece of hardware. And I say that because of the experience my friends and I have had with this particular product.

As far as the 1GB card goes, I have owned two of these myself - one for over two years by itself - and it has NEVER been a problem when it comes to my camera. Five of my friends and three of my family members also use these and they have all had glowing comments about this item. When you add in the capacity it has for the price, carrying almost 500 pictures at over 5 megapixels, its amazing. I remember film and how much film cost me when I was just snapping pictures. Now, two years after-the-fact, I think of how good the investment turned out to be.

To add, since I did not see it on any prior reviews, if you are new to the electronic fiesta and you want to know how many pictures this will carry for your camera, you compare how many megapixels you use when you take pictures with the total amount of memory on the card as listed on a conversion chart. These can be easily found online, and the amount of memory contained in 1GB is amazing when you look at affordability. Even for the bigger fish in the electronic pond, this carries a lot of pictures and would be a great investment.

This card holds plenty of pictures. It is a great value for the cost. If you have a digital camera, I wouldn't buy anything smaller or you'll be developing your pictures more often than you want. I purchased two of the memory cards for my Nikon D50 camera. The memory card I have in the camera is by Lexar. At the highest resolution, I get 286 images from the Lexar card and 284 from the SanDisk card. I haven't taken any photos with the SanDisk card yet, but don't forsee any problems since the camera is recognizing the card's memory. I'm pleased.

Bought two of these 1gb cards from Amazon a few months back for $15. each. Nice! Genuine Sandisk cards are great! Beware of the millions of counterfeit Sandisk cards that exist - most of those do not come in retail packaging.
Now they're $21. I can get them at walmart in a retail package for $19.
Amazon is saying they retail for $59 each - and you are 'saving' $38. What kind of slithery slimey retailing is this????

I am always amazed at the capabilty of this technology. This disk is useful in several kinds of products and at the price I paid, it is unbelivable that anyone would settle for less. After my initial purchase I bought three more; one I sent to my son-in-law, a soldier in Baghdad.

I purchased two of these in December - one for me, one as a gift. I have a SanDisk 5-in-1 reader, and this card won't work in it. Don't know if the fit is too snug or if there's a different problem. It does work well, though, in SanDisk's 12-in-1 reader. I was hoping to use this in my digital picture frame, but now it only seems to work well in my camera. Great for taking lots of pictures - I'm just disappointed that SanDisk can't get its own cards to work in its readers.

Fast enough to record movies 2007-03-18

I've been using this card with a Panasonic FX-101 camera to record movies. It has worked flawlessly so far, both in the camera and when transferring the movies to my notebook. The problem I have is that the camera won't recognize it and ask for a reformatting after the card has been read by the computer. But I think it has to do with the camera, not the card, since it happens with other cards too.

It's good to have so much memory if you're going on a long road trip and don't have a computer or laptop near by. I put my camera's (canon A520) settings so that it takes pictures that are around 600-900 kb rather than 1-2 mb so I can take up to 1200 pictures. If you take videos with your camera, this is a good thing to have since videos can take up a lot of space. If you're not as lazy and are willing to always put your pictures into your computer after every use, you may want to get a smaller card but with the new cameras now a days, I wouldn't be surprised if the pictures are 3-4 mbs each. So you may want a bigger memory card. I got mine for around 24.95? There was a rebate on it. If you look you can make a good steal; I've seen them sold for 9.95.

The SanDisk SDSDB-1024-A10 1 GB Secure Digital Card is well worth any amount you pay under $50. It was a Christmas present for my mom to use in her mp3 player and it worked as expected. Nothing much else to comment on since it's just a memory card. The only feature it has is holding memory and maybe mistaking it for a stale potato chip; it does a good job at both.

My Canon SD600 digital camera only has a 16MB memory card which is only good for 9 shots. I found a 2GB memory card costs $45 and a 1GB memory card costs $15, so I bought two 1GB memory cards instead of one 2GB memory card. The 1GB card is working perfectly with my digital camera. 1GB capacity can do a lot of shots and I can switch to another memory card at any time easily.

The first time I used the card in a digital camera, it corrupted the last half of the images. It then intermittently failed. When I emailed customer support about an RMA number, they said to format the card which I did. It seems to be ok now, but I would be a little hesitant about buying another.

I got it for my Nikon coolpix P2 and I must say that I'm really happy with my choice. The price for 1GB card was low and even though the shipment rate was annoying (around 8$) the company explained it well in their website by increasing the rate for low items bu then other things costs less, fact that didn't affected much on the total price. It was around 30$, just for compare, 512MB, costs arounfd the same price in stores. The shipment was quick. Recommended!

Why they even sell cameras with a 16MB memory card is beyond me as it is good for less than 20 pictures of poor quality - put at least a 128 and give the buyer a bit more picture capacity. 1GB gives me more than enough memory to take 100's of pictures at the highest quality. I can take as many pictures as necessary, review them and save only the best still having room for 100's more. Don't buy anything less than 1Gig, the price differential between smaller sizes and the 1Gig is not worth it.

Mixed quality 2007-01-03

I ordered two of these cards. One is fine but the other seemed to disintegrate after just a month or two of use. The connector end of the card crumbled into tiny bits of plastic and metal and the card was no longer readable in any device. I ended up replacing the card with another manufacturer's card.

I've also trouble reading these cards in my PC's SD reader slot. Perhaps it is because they are high speed cards? My camera does fine with it so I have resigned myself to using the USB cable to get photos off the card via the camera.

FYI: i use the card in my nikon digital camera. with the pics set to 6 megapixals and using the uncompressed format(approx 1.8 meg ea.), i have 190 pics and 10 short 1 min movies and the card is about 80 percent full.

I use this storage card in my Canon SD 600. Get 968 MB of useable space on my camera. A 1GB card is necessary for people who want to take lots of pictures and not fuss with downloading. Only complaint that these cards are still a little pricy and hope that it continues to come down in price.

Kodak camera owners take note... 2006-09-12

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR KODAK CAMERA OWNERS: In July 2006, I replaced a SanDisk regular SD card like this one with a SanDisk Ultra II card for my Kodak DX7590, because I was hoping that it would allow my camera to write high-quality 5MP pictures faster. But to my surprise, it timed exactly the same. So I emailed Kodak, and this was their response: "We appreciate your interest in high speed memory for your digital camera. Our cameras are designed to operate, write and read SD cards at set voltage speeds. Therefore, there is no advantage to using faster memory in Kodak cameras."

So if you use a Kodak dock or USB cable to transfer images from a Kodak camera to your computer, this standard SanDisk card is all you need...there's no advantage to paying extra for a high-speed card like the Ultra II. However, if you use a card reader to get images from the SD card to your computer, then it might be worthwhile to pay a little more for the Ultra II since read and write speeds through the card reader could be substantially faster.

I love this SD card. 1 GB means I never run out of space on photo shoot days, even if I am using the top resolution on my Canon camera. Most cameras don't come with a large enough SD card, so I got the SanDisk on recommendation of a camera forum. This one is fast enough to handle the camera action and it works well. Locked Card Errors 2006-09-06

I had one episode of a "locked card error" and did an on line search for answers. I found one review that said you have to take the card in to have it fixed. However, if you look at the side of the card there is a tiny tiny sliding plastic switch that is a different color than the body of the card. If this is accidently moved to the locked position the card is locked. All you have to do to unlock the card is slide this switch back. The card works great and I have no complaints.

There are so many digital products that have a slot for an SD card and it is very easy to transfer data from one device to another . 1 GB is more than enough to store a lot of photos, documents, etc. and to transfer them at amazing speed for example to your laptop or computer. I recently bought this product online for only $22.48 including S&H and so far, I have been extremely pleased with it. I bought it for my Nikon CoolPix L3 camera and have been able to take hundred's of pictures using it. The price online is definately a lot cheaper than the in-store price. Stores like Walmart and Best Buy sell this product anywhere from $35-50, so buying it online is probably the best way to go.

Great card but possible errors (speed problems) with Memory Card Error and or Card Locked 2006-08-30

1GB card. Great. The problem is that it may not work with new Canon models like the Canon PowerShot S2 IS by giving a Memory Card Error and or Card Locked! error even though the card is unlocked. Sometimes you might not even be allowed to format this card in the camera. This may be due to some cards being faulty but it appears that many users are suggesting that the problem has to do also with the card speed and new Canon cameras. The only solution is to take the memory card back and get another brand. I got this card, it gave me the above errors. I got a different 1GB model (a 150X speed one) and it worked on the Canon Powershot S2 IS, no problem.

As a result, the videos are not as clear as they should be. The movie sometimes stops, as if a frame is missing and the resolution is not good. I won't recommned this if you plan to take videos. I am buying a Sandisk Ultra II card now.

The title pretty much says it all. I've not had any problems with it since my purchase and it holds plenty of pictures for my digital camera. It does what you'd expect out of your SD card.
