It doesn't work 2007-07-09
I bought this for my vacation photos, but it turns out not to be compatible with my camera. I thought they were all pretty much the same, but apparently that isn't true. If you're not sure what kind of card your camera can read, be sure to look it up before you buy it.
I've tried this one in three different cameras, but it doesn't work with any of them. I don't think the card's defective, but we haven't been able to figure out what this card would work with.

Good product 2007-06-02
Well, depending on what are you planning to use it, good product for me (I was using it on a Treo and it worked perfectly!
Used on Canon Elph 6.0 2007-05-30
This baby hold about 120 pics or about 6-7 mini movies on my model camera.
Buena calidad. Bajo precio 2007-05-25
Una memoria de buena calidad. Viene bien empacada así que no se corren riesgos de daño en el embarque. Necesario para ampliar capacidades de almacenamiento.
Great Product 2007-05-15
This SD memory card is great. Using it in my digital camera, I can take a lot of pictures in high quality without being forced to discharge or delete.
very good 2007-05-15
never had a problem with it and have been using it over and over and over again. good deal and good buy
512 MB SD Card 2007-05-12
Amazon had the best bang for the buck. Their dollar/MB was was very good. I am pleased with my purchase and would use Amazon in the future.
Great deal! 2007-05-08
I shopped around, and of course found the best deal here. This is a good name brand, and size for the buck.
Great Service 2007-05-07
Item as promised and rapid shipping, saved me $$ versus buying from local retailer
Kingston 512 MB Secure Digital Card review 2007-05-07
The product arrived within the forecast time parameters that were projected, and it is functioning exactly as it was described online.
Exactly what I wanted 2007-05-06
The product is exactly what I wanted. I love it and I would recommend it. The service was exceptional and fast.

Thanks and keep up the great work.
Fast card 2007-04-14
Fast, cheap, works! I bought several and use them in phone (Treo), GPS, Cameras, Pocket PCs...Would buy again!
Kingston Digital Card, excellen as always 2007-04-10
I use to buy this brand and the memory cards are great. Fast access and cheap
Does what it say it will 2007-04-02
This works just like it is advertised, no complaints.
Huge storage for my camera 2007-03-28
When I plugged this card in, my storage went from 17 pics to 754 pics. The card has worked flawlessly in my 3.1 MP Kodak camera.

Recommended!
Great card and dirt cheap! 2007-03-25
Bought this card over six months ago. No problems and the price was fantastic. Not much more I can say, so check it out!
Brand new item, great deal 2007-03-20
The card is working great, the price was amazing I try it on my Mp3 player, Digital Camera, Flat TV screen, Card reader is works with everything. 110% positive about this product.
Great Card, Great Price 2007-03-18
I Have had no problems with this card, it works great.
Great card, great price! 2007-03-17
I got this card for my Canon PowerShot SD700 IS digital camera. I was nervous given the low price, but the card works great. It is fast enough to keep up with the camera in burst mode.

At my camera's highest resolution (6 megapixels) the card holds 180 pictures in superfine (highest quality) mode; 300 in fine mode. More than enough for me.

And you can't beat the price!
Doesn't Work -- Should Get ZERO Stars! 2007-03-11
Thought I'd save a little money and buy Kingston rather than SanDisk. Well...I pop the card in the camera, and I get the message "This card cannot be used." Rather than saving money, I wasted some! Guess it's too much to expect the card to actually work!
Great Product 2007-03-09
This memory card it better than what the stores sale; price & product you can't beat it. I would buy this product agian.
Best price ever 2007-03-09
Nice SD card, reliable. And the price was unbelievable. Really good deal.
Works well at a throwaway price 2007-03-09
How can you go wrong with a couple of bucks invested in this card (not counting the shipping). But if you order a few of these and the 1gb, the shipping is bearable. Even with the couple of bucks for shipping, you cant beat the price.
It's ok 2007-03-09
This is a good memory card. Works well, I recieved it in a timely manner. The only thing to think about is, 512 MB is not a whole lot of space. Especially if, like me, you have a digital SLR camera. Just consider it. Almost double the space (1 GB) doesn't cost much more. I would even suggest 2 GB if you're really into photography.

For a point and shoot camera, on my Kodak Easyshare Z760, I got approximately 300 pictures. Which isn't bad for general photography. Just consider going up a bit and spending a little more. It'll be worth it later.
Works Perfectly 2007-03-09
This Kingston 512 MB SD card works perfectly. For the price I can't see how you can go wrong.
Good deal for the Money 2007-03-09
I purchased this item to load videos on to be played in my truck and I use it in my digital camera and it works great.
It just works 2007-03-08
I don't think there is much to say about flash memory unless it breaks. The card that I purchased was cheap and works great.
A high quality, useful card. 2007-02-25
Simply put: for its designed uses, this is a superb product. Great price, too.
Good Card 2007-02-22
Camera memory is so common these days, there isn't much to make one card or another stand out. This one works fine, just as advertised, so you can't go wrong here. Recommended for any SD card use.
Inexpensive Memory 2007-02-17
Works fine in my wife's camera. She can take pictures 'til her eyeballs fall out. Now I've got to find an equally high capacity battery.
digital card 2007-02-14
I have received my digital card for my camera. It works wonderful and the price was fabulous.
SD Card 512 MB 2007-02-06
The product arrived promptly and was just as advertised. I am very
satisfied with this purchase.
Best Price 2007-01-30
I got this for a Philips Digital Frame and it copies and loads pictures fast enough. What a great price! I would recommend a faster card if you are using it for a fast digital camera. But if speed is not a major issue and price/memory is, then there is probably no better deal right now.
I only wish it held more 2007-01-29
Love the SD cards. Wish this one held more. Guess I'll have to get a bigger one!
Good for the price 2007-01-20
I have a Canon Powershot A510. I just use it as a point and shoot, I dont use the settings or do anything advanced. I bought this because my last SD card corrupted when I took a picture and switched over too fast to view it. This price was good on this, but its a little slow.
very good product 2007-01-20
this is a very good product. had no problems, pluged it in & it works great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good memory at a fair price 2007-01-19
Not much to review on this. It fits in the device and it holds the files well.
Kinston sd cards great 2007-01-19
I have dropped, scuffed, and even gotten it wet And this SD card still performs. Not bad for the price either Thanks Kingston
Slow, small, and reliable. 2007-01-19
This card isn't very fast and it doesn't hold very much, but it works in pretty much anything I've tried it in.
Just buy it! 2007-01-18
This is a good SD card, with excellent capacity to take enough pictures.
The quality is the same to the others Kingston products.
Just buy it and enjoy.
sd card 2007-01-16
I was well pleased with the sd card. It exceeded my expectations, and the price was great.
good product.. expensive shipping 2007-01-16
the seller I got it from ripped off on shipping. But I expensed it for the office, so no lost on my part. Keep in mind the shipping charges from some of the seller on here when you buy things.
Kingston 512 SD Card 2007-01-16
I bought theses two cards as a gift for my two daughters, to use in new cameras each received for Christmas. They both love the performance of the chips. I received them on time with no problem.
Thanks for the good service.
Buyer Beware!!! 2007-01-15
I got to the check out before I noticed the EXPONENTIAL SHIPPING COSTS charged by wonder electronics!!!
I ordered 5 SD memory cards and a tiny usb card reader for a grand total of US$ 41.22 and they tried to charge US$ 61.20 shipping!!!

I thought it was a mistake. I went back and looked everything over and all I can figure is they must be claiming the things weigh several pounds each and shipping them seperatly. We did a bit of investigation and found that this not new for this company and they do not ship each item seperate so draw your own conclusions.

Buyer Beware indeed and shame on Amazon for letting it continue this long.

Kingston lives up to its name. 2007-01-12
The SD card retrieves what ever data you need. I have dropped it a few times and, alas, nothing has happened. I would only suggest Kingston adds one or two self adhesive labels instead of the provided.
COMMENTS 2007-01-12

The disk works wonderfully and the price was even better! Thank you so very much.

Great Card, Great Price! 2007-01-10
I am very happy with the Kingston 512MB card! It is a great value for a quality memory card. This is my third Kingston SD Card, and they are all working just fine, with no problems up to this date. Highly recommended!
Gread SD card 2007-01-09
Does exactly what it is supposed to. I got this one for a great price.
Reliable operation 2007-01-09
I have used the Kingston 512 MB Secure Digital Card and it performs well, reliable product.
Great versatility 2007-01-09
My step-children received digital cameras and recorders for Christmas and these cards work great for all of the different types of media they can create! We've already printed pictures from the cards through the computer and stand alone picture printers and the quality was wonderful. We are so pleased to have found such a bargain on a truly great product!
Free memory is always good 2007-01-09
Got this memory for free when I purchased the Canon G7. Free is always a good thing.

S. Joe Wynman
Well... just a memory card 2007-01-09
It has been with me for two months now, no problems so far...
I guess it's hard to review a memory card, go for the cheapest one if you know that the manufacturer will respond in case of failure...
quick and affordable storage 2007-01-07
good card for the price, read access speeds are very reasonable
Big enough 2007-01-06
As a former photography teacher let me recommend this size card to you. So many people go for the biggest card they can find. It is much easier to organize and manage your different picture-taking sessions by using medium-sized cards instead of humongous ones. When we went to China, for example, on the trip of a life-time, I had a card go bad. What if all my pictures were on that one card?

[...] A smaller card helps in this situation too, because you are not going to want to upload 2 gigs of pictures into one album. If you use a store kiosk, a big card also takes more time to load - and if things go awry, you will get very frustrated if you have to start over.

Snap up several of these 512 cards. Use a Sharpie to label them (family, events, etc.). You won't be sorry.
Good value! 2007-01-05
This is the second card of this type I purchased. The first worked in my PDA but not my MP3 player, so there must have been some formatting problem. This one worked well in both, and has been quite reliable after 3 months.
Camera Card 2007-01-05
I bought this card for a Canon 630 that I gave my father. he has had no problems with it. The 512 MB offers ample space and is required for the 630 to function efficiently.
Great Card 2007-01-04
I bought this for my mother. It is in her Kodak EasyShare camera. It works great.
Great value, good brand 2007-01-04
Is a good choice for anyone looking for a SD card with a great quality of storage for your smartphone.
Dependable, high quality. 2007-01-03
Been using it now for over a year and no issues, does exactly what it should every time.
Happy to have bought it! 2006-12-11
This is a great card for an amazing price! I use it for my mp3 player and it works just fine. Would highly recommend.
High speed @ low price 2006-12-09
I got this after trying to find a Sandisk Ultra deal on Amazon.

This came plenty cheaper and is fast enough for use in my Canon S2 IS.
A lot of space at a great price 2006-11-10
This is a great buy because I have a lot of space. I use the card on my Digital Camera and I take a lot of pictures without download to the computer. I can go on la large weekend trip and take my pictures and download it until I`m back home.

It's a great card at a very good price.
Very good SD Card 2006-11-10
I like it very much, I use it in an outdoor trail camera for wild game and it hold several pictures and has been in the camera in all kinds of weather. I would buy Kingston again.
Kingston 512 MB Secure Digital Card (SD/512) 2006-11-06
Product has performed well and have experienced no problems with it. I am using it in an HP M425 5 megapixel digital camera. It will hold 248 pictures at best resolution or 26 miutes of video with sound.
Great Price, Great card 2006-11-04
Six months before I paid four times this much for a card. I wish I had thought to check on Amazon.com then. What can you say about a Kingston Digital Memory card, other than they are a leading brand name and always top notch quality. They shipped promply too. I am a happy customer.
Don't buy from Amazon's Stores 2006-11-03
The product is excellent and the price I was charged for the item was exceptional. However this was a bad shopping experience for me. The shipping charge wasn't computed or explained until after I hit the comit button for buying the item. The shipping charges /per item more than doubled the price of the item. So for each of the five cards I bought I was charged over double the price of the item even though they all five arrived in the same envelope that cost $1.35 to send by slow mail. All-in-all a very unsatisfying Amazon shopping experience. Through numerous emails with Amazon they refused to assume any responsibility for allowing this gouging to occur under their name. I haven't bought anything else from Amazon and continue to intentionally steer clear of Amazon who apparently cares more for their stores than their customers.
Very good 2006-11-02
Perfect for what was designed and also for my needs!
Reasonable speed and free of bad locations.
Thank you!
great mem card 2006-11-02
it works fine, i use it for my treo 700, hold more than I use, but is perfect for my use. i really got it at a bargain price, so if u need it for a camera or a cellphone, its a great buy for the price...
No problems 2006-09-15
I rated this product four instead of five just because i haven't had it long enough to attest to its long term performance. It is what it says it is. performs well at a low price.
Great Price for a good product 2006-09-02
Very cheap price! I haven't had any problems using it with both my flash drive and my Canon Digital Camera. For future buyers I suggest buying in bulk to save on shipping.
REally good 2006-08-30
It's a cheaper memory card with lots of memory! I have a Cannon Powershot camera and it hold like 240 pictures and it was under $10. That sounds like a deal to me!
WOW! 2006-08-28
It does have 512MB of storage! AND it fits into the slot in my camera! WOW!
Kingston SD/512 Does the Job 2006-08-26
I'm pleased with this SD card. I use it in my MP3 player and it works fine. There are faster cards, but for the price, this card is more than adequate for MP3 players.
Great! 2006-08-25
Great and Quick Service. Would recommend to do business with these guys to anyone!
Great ! 2006-08-23
I use this in my hp camera and haven't had a single problem with it. It doesn't lag when taking pictures and best yet it was under $10. Would highly recommend.
Kingston Digital Card (SD/512) 2006-08-21
A great card. I also like the storage case to protect the card ad keep your information safe
Few users nowadays 2006-08-16
This product is really good, what I am finding is that most users are now looking for 1 Gb o more.
Does Its Job Well 2006-08-05
I've had two of these cards for over a month for a digital camera and they work great. At first, I was a little hesitant to buy this card, as it is such a low-priced product compared to other brands.

But, I am extremely pleased with my purchase!!!

You will not be disappointed. This card is fast and does a great job and is a GREAT BUY FOR ITS PRICE!
Kingston 512 mb sd card 2006-08-04
Not a better price to be found. However, if you aren't in a hurry you can shop around and find a comparable price with free shipping.
GREAT PRICE, GOOD QUALITY 2006-08-03
Very good price and also a good quality product!
2x 512M came out cheaper than 1G card!
Digital card, Kingston 2006-08-03
I bought 2 of these, one for me and my son. Did just what I needed to do and you just can't beat the price. Highly recommend this card.
Excellent Card, Good Store 2006-08-01
I bought this card from ANTOnline and it was shipped swiftly without any complications, the card works marvelously as well, storing the exact amount of pictures Kodak predicted for its size. Couldn't be happier.
Definitely would buy again from this seller 2006-07-20
Excellent service. Very satisfied with transaction. My thanks to the seller.
Great product at a great price 2006-07-20
I bought two of these for my Kodak digital camera. They both work great and have read/write times equal to the SanDisk card that came with my camera. I've experienced no errors or problems, and just one of them held all the pictures I took on a week-long cross-country trip, with room to spare. I recommend this card very highly.
Couldn't be happier! 2006-07-18
I was a bit hesitant to order this card because it was soo much cheaper than ones I saw in the store. I'm generally suspicious if something's a lot cheaper - 'what's wrong with it?' Well, I'm happy to report that nothing is wrong with these cards. I've used 2 of them over a period of about 6 weeks now and they've been consistant in their performance. I use a Kodak EasyShare z650 (6.1 MP) and each card holds approximately 262 photos for me. And best of all, I've saved about $40.
512 MB SD card 2006-07-15
I purchased 2 cards and installed both immediately in two new Canon Cameras.
Work fine , no problems at all.
Well worth the price! 2006-07-14
I purchased this card to take on a 10 day vacation. I took lots of pictures & never ran out of memory. I have a Kodak EasyShare Z740 digital camera that it was very compatible with. It was MUCH less expensive than the Kodak brand memory card. I have been very happy with this product & would highly recommend it.
SD Memory Card 2006-07-10
Good value. Card holds lots of images. I bought two but one should be enough for the type of use I need it for.
Great SD Card 2006-07-10
Card is super. Holds approx 249 1200 x 800 pictures. Would hold much more at a different setting.
Great memory at a great price! 2006-07-08
I purchased this memory primarily because of the price. At about 12 bucks for 512mb, how can you go wrong! Weve had it for a couple of weeks now and it works flawlessly. I do not believe it is the fastest memory on the market, but it suits our purposes well. Great Buy!
Kingston 512MB digital card -- forget about it 2006-07-08
.... capacity lousy, very little, if any, better than the 16MB that came with camera, as standard equipment. Yikes!
SHIPPING IS AS MUCH AS THE CARD 2006-07-04
Great card but you are better off buying it at the worst rip-off store in town. I thought I was sellecting Amazon as the Vendor but I was sent to one of the other vendors and spent $7.95 for this $11 item. This happened to me TWICE in one order. Unfortunately by the time you notice what has happened,Amazon has sent them your money.
It's a memory card... with 512MB memory 2006-07-01
Erm... Can't think of much to say here. I don't take videos using my camera so I don't know if the access time is good or bad but my brother has the same card in his camera and the videos he takes look fine.

I've got photos on mine and it hasn't deleted any and it was cheaper than other 1/2 gig cards so you can't say fairer than that.

Works fine 2006-06-29
Pretty straight forward review--works as expected and the price was good. Using it in a PDA.
Good quality product 2006-06-28
I bought a few of these to use in my Magellan Navigator. Some rival cards don't seem to work in the Magellan and one other brand kept losing its program when I left the Magellan in strong sunshine which is normal since it is stuck to the windshield! These cards work great and the "lock" feature which works similar to the old window plastic clicker on a 3.5 inch floppy ensures I do not overwrite programmed cards. I fully recommend these cards.
Great product, even better price. 2006-06-28
This product really needs no explanation. Plug and play. simple.
great product for the price 2006-06-20
I bought this for our Canon Powershot A520. The card that came with the camera only held 13 pictures, which was fine as long as we weren't away on vacation. But I bought this card for only $20 and for my 4.0MP camera it can store 439 pictures, much more than we'll ever need but it'll be nice to have.
Fast, reliable memory works great with digital cameras 2006-05-16
Have this 512MB SD card with 2 different digital cameras - Minolta X20, Kodak C330.

To download the photos to PC, a card reader is that best way to go, fast and reliable connection.

Kingston is a great memory manufacturer.
Like the Corners of My Mind 2006-04-02
I purchased one of these to store pictures for the Canon Powershot A610 5MP Digital Camera. That camera comes with a paltry 16 MB SD memory card which held about 10 or 12 pictures. Whether you're getting a camera or other electronics purchase requiring memory storage) for yourself or others, you might want to consider including an adequate memory device right fron the beginning. I've had no problems so far with the Kingston, it has a number of excellent features detailed above, and is fast enough for my purposes, and is very reasonably priced. For beginners without demands fo larger or faster memory systems, this is an inexpensive good bet. Amazon sells it much cheaper than the big discount electronic stores, such as the one in California that starts with an "F." That store sold it for far more money, it took me 25 minutes to find the memory section, and then they didn't even have one of these.
Perfect photo storage 2006-03-31
I bought this memory card to use with my Kodak 5.0 megapixel DX4590 Easyshare camera. It worked perfectly right out of the box! I used it in Cabo San Lucas and will be using it in Kauai next. I had used two 128 mb cards previously and filled them BOTH quickly with the 5.0 settings on the camera. I took well over 200 pictures and still had plenty of room with this card. For the price, this is the best deal I ever made.
It's good 2006-03-24
I haven't use it for a long time, but till now it works good
Great product and great price 2006-03-23
If you need a secure digital (SD) memory card then Kingston is a great company. Product is working just great.
Works great, not too expensive 2006-03-23
I bought this card 6 months ago for my mom who wanted a medium-size, not-too-expensive memory card for her camera. She took it with her on an international trip as well as travels around the US. She's been pleased with it, and based on her satisfaction, I've purchased one for myself.
Alot like most memory cards... 2006-03-19
I haven't had any problems with this. I'm not sure what the difference is between brands of memory cards, but this was a great price and it works fine.
Bought to use with Palm TX 2006-03-15
I bought this product to use with my new Palm TX. For the price, I couldn't ask for a better memory card. The transfer rate is a little slow, but like i said...for the price, you cannot beat the performance!
Excellent Memory Card 2006-03-15
Fast transfer speeds, very secure, I would recommend it to anybody with a PDA, cell phone, or camera that uses SD cards. I have found it to be very reliable.
Great buy! 2006-03-14
This was a great buy compared to other digital cards of the same MB. Quality is very good.
Excelent SD Card Memory 2006-03-14
This is the best one SD memory type.
I am using this one for 3 years and I got excelent performace.
Kingston 512 MB Secure Digital Card (SD/512) 2006-03-12
Excellent product! I would recommend this memory card to everyone who have a digital camera.
Very Nice 2006-03-11
I got this memory for a digital camera, and u can get tons of picture in it. I went on a resort for a weekend and get more than 100 photos :) and the memory doesnt get full.
excellent value 2006-03-11
The product came shortly after they confirmed order..
It is as advertised by the vendor.. I am very satisfied.
Overall Satisfied 2006-03-10
Works great in my digital camera, which was the primary reason for purchasing it, but not as well in my Dell Axim X-50 PDA. It takes some determination to figure out how to transer the files and pictures taken are not in the correct format.
Excellent product for the money 2006-03-09
This memory card is great. The only qualm I have is about picture upload. When you plug your camera into the usb port, if you cut rather copy your photos over to where you store them, you get a read error on the camera itself when you try to view photos. The way around this is to just copy photos and paste them to your computer, and then go back and delete your photos manually from your camera.I would recomend this to any one with a digital camera.
Works perfect 2006-03-08
Good name in all types of memory cards, works perfectly in my SD card mp3 player. This was the cheapest 512mb card I could find and it was a great deal
Kingston 512MB 2006-03-08
It is what it is. For the price it is a good deal. I have not have any problems with this product. It has performed as I expected. Amazon beats the major retailers in price most of the time with out rebates. Yeah.
Great Card, Great Price 2006-03-08
This card has worked out great for me so far. I bought it for a 5 week vacation, and I still can't get over how many pictures it holds. With my 3.1 megapixel camera, I can hold approximately 550 photos. How sweet is that! I also haven't noticed any performance difference from my old 128mb card. This one seems to access photos and starts up just as fast. You really can't beat it for the price. I've had no problems with Kingston memory, so I think I'll stick with them since they are only slightly more expensive than some of the 'no name' brands.
Low-cost flash memory add-on 2006-03-02
My Rio Forge MP3 player accepts the SD type flash memory add-on. This one works great. The 1-gigabyte version is much more expensive so I went for this one as the best buy.
Excellent Memory 2006-02-27
This product packs a great deal of memory and is an easy way to transfer files from PC to PC, ideal for all my workplace/school needs.
Pretty fast and reliable 2006-02-27
SD card is good enough to hold more than 200 pics @ 5MP camera. Data transfer was also pretty fast.
Kingston SD card 2006-02-26
I was very pleased with the SD card from Kingston, new in box, easily installed and functional. The price was 1/2 again what is available in retail. Quality is excellent. Speed of shipping was beyond my expectations. Thank you
camera memory card 2006-02-26
everything's great. took it to Europe and didn't even fill the whole thing up it's so huge.
The card works with no issues 2006-02-25
This is the second Kingston card I have purchased and I have never had a problem with either. I use them in my Pocket PC and Digital Camera with no issue.
Good price, quality product 2006-02-25
Kingston products are generally as good as OEM parts but are much less expensive. I am satisfied with this purchase.
just want I wanted 2006-02-25
it was in great condition but it was also new and unopened!
Excellent Value 2006-02-24

best price for a good working item 2006-02-24
the card works perfect and the price was good
Faster than I expected 2006-02-02
This card replaced my old Palm 128mb SD card, and was I ever suprised at the speed difference. I store the data for most of my palm apps on the SD card, and now that data loads much faster.

I know that Kingston doesn't call this a high-speed card, but the performance on my Palm Tungsten /E is much better than I expected.
Excelente 2006-02-02

Good Quality, Great Price 2006-01-30
The title says it all. The product works fantastic, and was an extremely good price. I recommend it to anyone who needs a healthy amount of space but doesn't need over a gig to store all their own photos on the camera.
Its memory... 2006-01-29
Kingston has a bad rap when it comes to memory just because the price is so low. Yes the memorys write time may be a little slower, but for a person on a budget like myself, its a perfect choice!!
Great product 2006-01-29
This digital card holds so many pics, that I still haven't begun to fill it (nor is it likely that I will ever have it completely full at one time). Less expensive than some competitors, but just as good.
Lots of space 2006-01-16
Works great in my Canon A510, plenty of pics and movie time.
works G R E A T !! 2006-01-11
I have been using this for 2 months,.. and I had not a single problem with it,.. if you are looking for an SD card , go for kingston,..but of course if you are willing to spend some extra cash,.. Sandisk is the best,...
Overall good value, but very slow 2005-12-19
I bought this card to take with me on my trip to France. My wife loves taking pictures and I knew we'd need another SD card to store all the pictures. So, based on the good reviews and the price, I bought this card. I didn't do any research into the 'speed' of this device. Now I'm wishing I had.
Basically, this SD card becomes very slow as you start to fill it up with pictures. Yes it could probably store upto 492MB worth of pictures, but when you actually 'take' the pictures, you need a faster memory device. When the card was only about 100MB filled, we had to stop using it because it would take about 10 seconds for the camera to just get ready (and it usually only takes about 2 seconds). And in between shots, there was a noticeably long delay. When you're visiting a new place, you're bound to take some spontaneous pictures and 10 seconds seems like a lifetime. We missed quite a few good photo opportunities and that's why we stopped using it. We switched to our smaller 128MB SD card and didn't have any problems (of course, we had to take less pictures now).
In defense of Kingston, they don't claim this to be a high speed device. It's my own fault for not researching this earlier. But I figured I'd give others the warning - if you want to use an SD card that's 512MB or larger in a digital camera, make sure you get a faster one, something with at least 6MB/s transfer speed as opposed to this one which transfers at no more than 2MB/s. If speed is not your issue, then this is a great buy.
Burnt out in 2 days 2005-12-19
Ordered from Amazon, arrived safely packaged and seemed to work fine for two days. At the end of the second day, it just fried itself and never worked again. Had bad luck with other Kingston products. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for a better brand.
Great card for the price! 2005-11-26
Functions just like higher priced memory cards, without all the cost.
Great price, great performance 2005-11-01
I bought this for use with my new Canon Powershot A610 camera. It came out of the package, went in to the camera, and worked well immediately. I couldn't ask for more- especially at this price. Kingston is a very well respected memory manufacturer, too.
BEWARE of Kingston REBATES! 2005-10-30
Beware of KINGSTON rebates!

Of course, I hope your experience would differ, if you were to buy Kingston product(s), but mine was terrible.

I bought a Kingston CompactFlash card that offered a $50 mail-in rebate. I promptly (as in, the day AFTER I received the item delivery) went to photocopy my rebate certificate and UPC code and sales receipt; then sent it all on its merry way. Yes, I was well within the rebate period, both for the purchase AND for the postmark date. My purchase was a valid retailer (think HUGE online e-tailer).

The rebate REQUIRED sending THE ENTIRE ORIGINAL UPC label, which was like the entire outside package for my CF card, about the size of 1 ½ business cards when flattened. No problem.

About TWO MONTHS later, I get a letter saying "your rebate request was denied because you failed to furnish the appropriate ORIGINAL UPC code as required by the rebate offer."

Well, now WHAT? I can't RE-SEND the original (it was already in their possession). I called, and they insisted on repeating what the letter said. I re-sent my PHOTOCOPIES and they said a photocopy is invalid proof of purchase.

After another 6 weeks of pursuing this, I figured this is their scam. They simply wouldn't honor the rebate. And without the ORIGINAL UPC in my possession, I couldn't really submit to their requirements.

If you're looking for a RAM upgrade, I'd suggest you look at a quality company like OCZ (the BEST!), or Patriot, Geil, or Corsair. If you're looking for a value Flash Memory Card, I might suggest SanDisk.

For one, Kingston does NOT make the best products, they are VALUE-driven products.

Two, there are competitors to Kingston with just as good or better value-to-performance ratios at the same prices.

Three, Kingston will not stand behind their customer as I have experienced.

I urge you to, please, be cautious of Kingston and their rebate scams.
Works great 2005-10-26
I wish I could write more but I can't. This card works perfectly. I never have a problem. I use it on a Canon camera, and a Lexar card reader.
Works great 2005-10-21
I used my 512MB in my mobile phone (Motorola mpx 200) and it works flawlessly. I've used in a Viking Intelliflash 6-in-1 memory card reader and no problems. I even used the same card in a Kodak CX6200 and Canon Optura DV camera and it worked with no problems. I would highly recommend this card.

I bought a 128MB version for my girlfriend's digital camera and it works just as great as the 512MB.

Compare this to a SanDisk SD card I have which won't read at all in the Optura camera. With the SanDisk I had all sorts of problems with files being erased and not being properly written. This is not fun when all your pictures get erased when you put the card in another device and the card suddenly becomes unreadable.
Worked Fine 2005-10-17
This card worked great. I popped it in my digital Kodak camera and it worked immediately. No issues so far.
Quick Ship, Great Price 2005-10-13
Quick shipment on card. Card works great. I am using it in a Palm Tungsten T3.
Great price 2005-09-29
I comparison shopped for an SD card and this was the best price anywhere for the size. Kingston is also a very reputable memory maker
Good capacity, but speed not fast enough for movies 2005-09-22
I used this with my Canon SD300 camera. It works great with pictures, but when recording movies (at 640x480 resolution) on it, the movie usually gets cut off at around the 1 minute mark. No such problem for the high-speed version of this card, which not that much more expensive, so I recommend that instead.
Video Card 2005-09-21
Since I have limited working knowlege of video cards for the camera, I can't really compare. This one seems to be working just fine and I thought the price was quite reasonable.
Good memory card 2005-09-20
Decent card... good price at the time, although as always had I waited a tad longer, the price came down... :)
Good Quality at a reasonable price 2005-09-19
The kingston 512MB/SD card was purchased for my PDA. Loads fairly simple which I would imagine any SD card would do. I'm very impressed by the company ability to offer a good product at a reasonable price.
Works good 2005-09-15
So far I have used this memory card for a month and it works great. I popped it into my Nikon CoolPix 7900 camera and started taking pics right away, no need to even format the card, it was ready to go. It can hold over 250 pics at highest quality. Highly recommened.
Kingston cards have problem with cross-compatibility 2005-09-14
There are a number of people leaving raving reviews here about Kingston memory cards, and I'm sure that their experience justifies their opinions. But my own experience has been very different.

I bought a couple of motion-activated trail cameras and bought several Kingston SD cards for them. I also bought a security camcorder (the type with a video recorder built into a clock) for a mountain cabin I have that occasionally gets broken into. I decided on Kingston memory cards for both based on so many favorable reviews of their SD cards on Amazon. But neither the trail cameras nor the security camcorder were compatible at all with the Kingston cards. The cameras wouldn't power up in the manner that the user manuals said they would, I couldn't access any of the menu screens, the recordings from the security camcorder locked up my PC, and none of the set-up buttons worked. Things were just generally screwed up, and I wondered if everything I had received was defective.

I called the various manufacturers and they said that they also had experienced trouble with certain "offbrand" makes of SD cards. I asked them what they had used for development of their product, and they said SanDisk. I had never heard that Kingston was considered an offbrand, but I decided to experiment using a SanDisk SD card (specifically the Ultra II), and all the cameras then worked beautifully. Perhaps SanDisk adheres more closely to guidelines for cross-compatibility between digital devices, but that was a lesson for me. No more Kingston cards - at any price
just fine 2005-09-11
This card worked great for me, I've been using it ever since. I have all of the space I would ever need for my pictures. I had no problem whatsoever with it working with my camera or anything of the sort. It's just fine with me.
SD/512 card 2005-09-02
First digital card for my first digital camera. I bought two to use on an extended vacation. I took over 450 pictures, and only switched over to the other card because my wife was going to be using the camera for an extended period of time. Picture quality on the 450 pictures I took was beyond expectations! Easily and quickly downloaded these pictures into my computer using a Scan Disk card reader.
Good Mem. Card 2005-09-01
It is a very good card, tons of space and you can't beat the price. I haven't had any issues in transfering pics, works great.
Great SD card at a great price 2005-08-29
Fast and reliable. Stores up to 162 pics at highest quality on a Canon SD500. Ordered taking advantage of the free super saver shipping and received it within a couple of days.
Digital memory card 2005-08-28
The order was filled promptly and was shipped before they said it would be here. Excellant service.
Excellent product. 2005-08-24
I was attracted to this SD card by Kingston because I have had very good experience using their SDRAM in my home computer. It has proved first class in my Canon Powershot S2 IS Digital camera.
excellent sd card 2005-08-23
It is a great sd card because a lot of electronic items use this type of card: digital camera, pda ect.......
Execelent 2005-08-19
This product has been very useful for me, because I use it for HP R607 digital camera.
Excelente!! 2005-08-09
Kingston es Kingston y siempre lo sera....Simplemente lo mejor...

Saludos de Venezuela!
Pretty soon they will be free 2005-08-02
Works properly -- purchased on price alone on the day I needed to buy it. What else is there to say? My old 64 MB Lexar is in the museum, having cost well over $100....
quality product 2005-07-22
i remember after buying my digital camera from amazon, which came with 16 mb integrated, and i afortunately found this new brand product at a very low price. All the other stores had a price which was almost the doble .... incredible but true

fast shipping service, low price, good quality all i can say about this is seller.
Card OK but not for use with high resolution cameras 2005-04-06
I bought this card when I purchased a 7 MP camera (Nikon Coolpix 7900). I love the camera, but the slow speed of this SD card makes it sluggish when taking pictures. I haven't had any problems with the card, so I am not saying it is a bad card. It is just not fast enough for a high resolution camera. So I am buying another high speed SD card, and intend to use this card as an emergence backup.
Compatible 2005-03-16
I am using this card in a camcorder panasonic, and also in a Kodak easyshare. I don't need to format the card, both devices recognize it and also both read the information already stored.
I have another one from other brand, 128Mb and so far the difference is the label.
works as it should 2004-11-28
I bought this when I bought my Nikon 5200. This card stores a ton of pictures, and it transfers photos quickly to my computer, and without any problems. So far,so good.
How many pictures will it store? 2004-11-05
How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The Kingston 512MB Secure Digital Card, like most 512MB cards, will store on average 568 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 426 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 256 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 204 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 160 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this 512MB card is the right capacity for your specific needs.
Works fine in my MP3 player and for file transfer 2004-08-20
No problems, over the last two months, works like a champ. Kind of mad that the standard for everything is shifting towards SD, because I like the extra storage capacity of CF and it seems a little sturdier to me. I used to buy Crucial or SanDisk, but now Kingston is all I own. I've had no problems with the other Kingston chips (CF) that I've had for the past year and they all seem more than fast enough to keep up with my other portable devices.
Slower than Panasonic, but a lot cheaper 2004-07-21
Kingston SD is an OEM version of Toshiba SD, they are slower than the Panasonic version (Lexar, Simpletech, etc), but Kingston SDs are considerably cheaper than them. I have both Panasonic and Kingston SDs and satisfied with both of them. Although it takes longer time to transfer files between PC and SD card through the card readers, Kingston SD so far have given me no errors or reliability problems. Highly recommended for the budget!!!
Great memory for the Dell Axim X3 2004-06-29
I needed more memory on my Axim and had previously used Kingston memory (for a PC) with no problems. The 512 MB SD card has worked flawlessly for over a month and a half so far.
Great product! 2004-06-10
I've used all kinds of memory cards over the years and this is by far the best company to buy products from. SanDisk is the WORST. I wouldn't buy their products if it were half the price. Anyway I use my memory card in my PDA and have had no problems. With the SanDisk I had all sorts of problems with files being erased or not properly written. Other good memory products are Viking and MicroTech.
An excellent storage device 2003-12-17
I bought it for my Minolta Dimage Z1 digital camera. The camera has high speed auto focusing and it works well with the SD chip. I wasn't sure about it at first, having read a lot about Sandisk's problems. Thought maybe it was just an OEM version of Sandisk. I was going to buy a Lexar or a Panasonic, but thought I give the Kingston a try. Had it for more than a month now with over a hundred pictures, it has performed perfectly. Also, 512MB will last forever. Never a need for more space. . Kingston has tranditionally done well in all their products. Kingston SDRAM memory chips have always been very reliable.
