Not for use with Canon Powershot
2004-07-14
| It seems nice enough and it's cheap, but it is apparently incompatible with the Canon Powershot Digital Elphs. For use with those cameras, buy Sandisck instead. Seriously. | ||

Very Fast, Lots of Pics in my Canon S400
2004-07-01
| Got this card for a great deal. SimpleTech products are always reliable, fast, and come with a great warranty should you ever have any problems. I don't use anything else. I have a Canon S400 and it came with a 32MB, which shortly became my backup but I have yet to run out of space on this 256MB card. I have taken it on numerous trips and taken tons of pictures and long videos and still had lot of room. I was thinking of getting a reader but I figured I would try it first, the speed with my cameras software was very fast, there was absolutely no need for a reader. I've downloaded about 80 pictures and videos in 3/4 minutes. Just let it download in the background as I do other things online, and in a few minutes it done. The camera comes with ZOOMBROWSERX so maybe that's just good combination, I don't know I just know if I were to get another card it would be this one and it would be SimpleTech. |

CF Card Error with Canon G3 like some other reviews
2004-05-03
| After a few uses, I got CF Card Error during a function at home with my Canon G3. Going to try if I can get a replacement. Even with that, I don't think I will be using this for any important events. When I buy a card next time, I have to read each and every review and see how many people with G3 got into trouble. |
Too much money for a medicore card
2004-02-21
| The card isn't very good and stores pictures too slowly, especialy as you start to fill up the memory. Also SimpleTech's customer support isn't too good. Not one person could tell me what the 'Error Application' message meant when using the Simple Tech CompactFlash Card Reader to get pictures from the card. Stay away from this company. |
Wouldn't recommended
2004-02-01
| This card worked great in my Canon G3 digital camera for few months, and the 'CF Card Error' started happending (as some of the other reviewers have also experienced). I reformatted the disk few times and I'm still getting that error when I turn on my camera. Since it has a life time warranty on it, I'm RMA it back to SimpleTech. | ||

Faster then Sandisk
2004-01-10
| I bought this because I wanted a backup for my Sandisk CF Card, plus I was able to get for $35.00. It has now become my primary CF card. It definitely outperforms the my Sandisk. I am using it with a Canon A40 Camera. When I upgrade my Digital Camera I will defintely be sticking with Simpletech | ||
Good Value, but Could Be Faster
2003-12-16
| While SimpleTech's 256 MB CompactFlash memory card is quite affordable, many users may find it too slow for practical use in today's more memory-intensive digital cameras. If you intend to use it for digital music or cameras of 2 megapixels or so in resolution, great--the card will work just fine. Its 8MB burst and sustained 1.5MB write speeds even work okay in larger resolution cameras for low shooting rates; however, the real bottleneck I found in both my cameras and my laptop was its read time--which could take over a couple of seconds per shot when reviewing pictures! When compared to speed demons like SanDisk's Ultra II cards--or even my backup Vikings--the SimpleTech simply didn't read back quickly enough for my liking. Still, it's on the low end price-wise for 256 MB cards, and for many people the card will work just fine. |

Buyer Beware - Defective Cards!
2003-12-08
| Purchased SimpleTech 256 MB CF card to supplement the meager 32MB CF card which came with my new Canon A80 Camera. After a dozen pictures taken with the SimpleTech card, started getting CF errors on the camera display. Reviewed the Canon owners manual for this error, and acted upon the recommendation to format the card. After reformatting the SimpleTech card, still receive CF Errors when using in the camera after 1 or 2 photos. I am returning the SimpleTech card through Amazon's wonderful return policy. I really do love this e-tailer! My "meager" Cannon 32MB card is chugging along just fine.... |

Works great with Canon A80
2003-11-26
| Bought it with my new Canon A80. My first experience with Digital cameras and Flash Cards. Just plugged it in, like the Quick start manual says, and it works like a champ. Have only used it for 2 days, so I cannot say anything about the reliability. It seems to work well, and downloading the pics to my Win XP PC has not been a problem. | ||
I'm afraid it sucks.
2003-10-16
| I saw the negative reviews and thought it must be user error or bad luck to blame, but I'm afraid it's all true. My brand new Simpletech card has gone mysteriously crazy, within 10 minutes of popping it in my Canon S230. I don't care what the explanation is, frankly-- card error is a scary thing to see. Magically, replacing my trusty (if allegedly slower) SanDisk cards rectifies all problems. I swear, I did nothing wrong-- it's idiot proof. This card is just wacky. | ||

Simpletech 256 MB CF Card is a winner
2003-10-09
| It works great on my Canon A60 at a bargain price from Amazon. | ||
A bit slow with Nikon coolpix 4300
2003-09-25
| Just as some other comments described, the card is slow when used with Nikon camera. When you take a shot, it takes three seconds to complete. It is still within a workable range to me. Nikon's manual does not list SimpleTech as a definite compatible candidate. However, with the price, I think the performance is OK. For people that consider speed an important factor, maybe this card is not a right choice to work with Nikons. | ||
Died after 2 days!!!
2003-09-23
| Worst product in its class! Oh, well, you get what you paid for :-( | ||
A bargain performer
2003-08-27
| This is now my third SimpleTech CompactFlash card. All three cards have worked out of the box without a problem. The value is very good. These cards have worked great in my digital cameras, PC interface devices, and my HP printer that works directly from this type of card. I plan to buy another SimpleTech product in the future the next time that I need to. | ||

Works for Canon A70
2003-07-30
| Bought this for my new Canon A70. Works very well. No complaints, no errors. I also have a Kingston 256MB Cf card. Both work well. But i seem to get longer battery life with the Simpletech. Got my rebate cheque within one month of posting out. |
It's dead on the first day!
2003-07-29
| I bought a Simpletech 256 Compactflash card two months ago. I opened the package and put it in my Nikon Coolpix 2500. I tried it by taking a couple of pictures. Suddenly, the card stopped working and my camera said CF card Error. :( That was only 10 minutes of using it. Then I tried it with a Canon G2...still did not work...had to return it... | ||
defective
2003-07-25
| After 6 months of very light use, this card decided to fatally crash while on an importaqnt trip, taking 100 or so important shots with it. Cannot afford to use this kind of quality again. | ||
a good memory
2003-07-06
| I got this card and I am completely satisfied with it. It has had no problems and I cannot remark on its speed as this is the first compactflash card i have had. I just cannot figure out how to get the rebate for it yet. | ||
Fast, high performance cf card.
2003-06-03
| Got it in a well packaged unit, took it out, put it in my canon s110 and start taking shots. The pictures takes 1 or 2 seconds less than my other cards(Sandisk and PNY) to write. Able to take about 250 shots in HQ mode at max resolution. Download from a card reader is also super fast. Did not do any specific test but it is at least 20 or 30 seconds faster than the other cards I have when downloading 240MB of jpegs to my PC. Again, amazon is prompt with the service and I am a happy camper. Thanks again amazon for giving us outstanding service and products. | ||
Great Product, Wonderful Price
2003-05-20
| I got this at an excellent sale price, and I have never regretted it. I haven't had a single problem with the card, and I didn't have to reformat it for it to work with my Canon A40. | ||
Nice Card
2003-05-15
| I have shot a lot of pictures on this card and every shot saved properly (the subject quality is another matter). Read/write speed is good for a card in this price range. If you are looking for a good solid card that you can count on, this is the one for you. If you are looking for a blazing fast card... | ||
Flawless!
2003-05-12
| Works flawlessly in Canon cameras and hopefully in others. Never had any trouble. Also Simpletech rebates are reliable unlike Viking and some others. One of the best CF cards for your money! | ||
No problems
2003-04-15
| Had no issues with this card. With rebates it was a good deal, although you must send in your rebate ASAP or it will expire. Used in a Toshiba e740 |
It keeps working!
2003-04-10
| The Simple Tech card worked from day 1, and still works 4 months later. Probably have taken close to 1000 shots on this card cumulatively. The same cannot be said for two other Viking Cards, one 512 MB, one 256 MB. Both worked in the beginning, then days later generated corrupt image files. (Go to Viking compact flash 512MB for my detailed review) By the way, I own a G3, and cannot tell meaningful difference in speed among Simple Tech, Viking, and the Lexar 12X I just received. |
Simpletech 256 MB card is a winner
2003-03-16
| I just bought the Simpletech 256MB compact flash card for my Canon Powershot S30. I just popped the card in and it worked without the need to format it or do anything else. The write speed does seem faster than that of my backup card (128 MB Sandisk). I have not yet tested the read speed with my compact flash reader, but my Sandisk card was fast enough for me at that, so I don't expect much of a difference with the Simpletech card. I bought the card to increase my image storage space, and based on the reviews I have read here, hopefully increase the speed of my camera in use. I tested the card using the high-speed continuous shooting mode on my camera. With the image resolution at its highest and the jpeg compression at its lowest, I could get off 5 pictures (indoors, ISO 400, no flash) before the camera buffer had to write to the card. This was no different than the performance with my Sandisk card, as it is dependant on the camera's internal memory as I understand it. However, I needed only wait about a second until the camera was ready to shoot again, a noticeable improvement over the Sandisk card. In my limited test, I also shot a 30 second movie at 320x240 resolution. Again, the Simpletech card performed well, and after the movie completed, I experienced a very short wait until I could shoot again. The write speed of the card seems up to the claims of the reviews. I recommend this card for its price, capacity, and speed. I also recommend Amazon.com. This was my 3rd or 4th order from them and I have been impressed with their service each time. |

Almost as fast as the Lexar, and half the power drain
2003-03-14
| This item says "low power consumption", which got my attention because I have a Zaurus--a great handheld, but with lousy battery life. So I did some digging to find out how low. According to their respective Web sites, this SimpleTech card takes 25 milliamps if used in a 3.3-volt device (such as the Zaurus), or 40 mA in a 5V device; the Lexar high-speed card (ASIN B00005U0HU) takes 50 mA at 3.3V or 65 mA at 5V. "Well," I thought, "OK, the Lexar has twice the power drain; but, if it's is twice as fast, then that'd make up the difference, because it'd be taking that drain for half the time, right?" (Not entirely true, by the way; if the device can't keep up with the faster card, then it won't be twice as fast.) But then I found the speed specifications for the SimpleTech: it runs at 10x (1.5MB/s), compared to the Lexar's 12x (1.8MB/s). So, the Lexar takes twice as much power to run 20% faster. How much difference will it really make? Well, in my case, not a lot, probably. The main thing I use the CF card for is for storing Ogg files (like MP3, but different); some back-of-the-envelope calculations from published battery life tests suggest that, even with the backlight off, a Zaurus playing Ogg is drawing 791 milliamps. Cutting 25 mA off of that makes very little difference: 148 minutes instead of 144. But, still, 4 minutes is 4 minutes; if that last bit of power makes the difference between getting my next calendar alarm and not, it's worth it. Plus, if you're talking about a device with smaller power requirements--say, an MP3 player--then saving 25 mA could make a big difference. And, for an MP3 player, you'll never notice the difference in speed, since even a 1x card is far faster than you need to keep up with the bitrate of any MP3 file. |

plenty of memory for the price
2003-02-28
| I purchased this card for my Canon S230 Digital Camera. The price was good (especially with the rebate,) and I wanted enough memory to take both still pictures and video clips while on vacation without bringing several cards. I was a bit concerned when I read the comments about the card not being compatible with some devices. It works beautifully with the Canon S230. The time between shots is no greater or shorter than with more expensive cards and the amount of space is great. I can go skiing or touring without worrying about running out of memory or bringing extra stuff. | ||

Canon sells SimpleTech CF
2003-02-01
| I purchased a Simpletech 256 MB Compact Flash Card with Reader for my Canon Powershot S45 for the following reasons: 1. Canon sells Simpleteck Compact Flash Card but not other brands. 2. Digital Photography Review used SimpleTech CF in its evaluation of the Canon S45. 3. a "Simpletech 256 MB Compact Flash Card with Reader" price is good at Amazon (This is no longer true). |
Good product, but sometimes i've had some problems
2002-12-12
| I've bought this compactflash for my pocket PC (HP Jornada 568), and use it for MP3 files. Sometimes when I take out the card and change the content with my laptop and put back in, the pocket pc shows to me a message that could not recognize the card and, should be formated. Normally I ignore this message and the pocket pc read the card, and then it works fine. With the other card Sandisk 64 MB, I never had this problem. |
Plenty of room for a reasonable price
2002-11-20
| I tried this compact flash with my Canon S40 camera and found that it was provided plenty of room for pictures. This card performed faster than the CF card provided by the camera. I'm very satisfied with it. I get about 220 shots on a 4 Meg medium resolution format. There is minimum lag time between pictures. I did find that having a CF card reader is a lot faster and loading and unloading pictures from the card. | ||
Compatibility issues - Be careful!
2002-11-16
| ...I bought this card thinking I could install it in my FujiFilm FinePix S2Pro and have no problems, but I got errors that could not be cleared by in-camera or Windows formatting of the media. I have never had a problem with CompactFlash before, and of the half dozen manufacturers I have, including Lexar, Sandisk, Nikon-branded, Fuji-branded and some Brand-x I picked up at Frys, all of them work in my S2Pro, whereas only one of the SimpleTech cards will. Better safe than sorry! |
Mega-memory for a reasonable price
2002-10-27
| Pop this card into your digital camera and be swimming in free memory. Even in high-pixel mode, we've never even used 25% of the available space on it. Works well with the Kodak DX-4900. | ||
True capacity is 244MB - Works on Jornada 540 PocketPC
2002-10-25
| I wanted extra storage space for my PocketPC and this device delivered that, nothing more, but a little less. Be prepared for a very long time to transfer files directly to the CF card on the Pocket PC (either USB or Serial connection). But this is not the fault of this card, but due to the poor communications speed between ActiveSync on your desktop and the PocketPC. Once you have the data on the card and in your PocketPC, it performs just as good as any other card. I strongly suggest getting an extra USB CompactFlash reader/writer along with the card, then the transfer speeds are great. I see no difference in transfer speeds between this CF card and a 128MB MR.Flash CF or a 16MB Lexar (called high-speed) CF card. So, why 4 stars? I get really disappointed when a company fails basic computer math. In computers, 1 KB equals 1024 bytes, but SimpleTech decided to redefine 1 KB as 1000 bytes. The result? The TRUE capacity of this CF card is 244 MB as reported by both Windows and the PocketPC. That's 12MB or 5% less than advertised! |
A photo boy's dream
2002-10-21
| For the low cost how can anyone pass up this huge storage space. I've possibly taken over 1,000 pictures with it and have not had a problem yet. | ||
What a Cool Gizmo
2002-10-19
| My friend loaned me her Nikon Coolpix 885, something that I've been eyeing for a while had a SimpleTech 256MB CompactFlash for a storage media. She told me that the original 16MB that came with the hardware was too mediocre and not enough memory to hold enough pictures at higher resolution settings. I didn't have to scan the pictures constantly to pick and choose which ones I wanted to keep. Downloads were faster than other compatible storage media. ! oramos1973 |

A great way to increase your photos!
2002-10-19
| I guess the best way to describe this product is "Amazing", since it allows any user to take more pics before you have to download them. When I first bought my Canon PowerShot digital camera it only came with a 6MB card which meant I could only take about 10-12 pics. So, I did some research on what's out there and decided to go with 256 MB CF Card from Simple tech, since it was recommended to me by a good friend that a photo fanatic. | ||
Very fast!!
2002-10-19
| Simpletech's 256MB CF is very fast. I use it with my Canon camera and love it. It gives me quick transfer rates with high resolution. Same time and money and any headaches. | ||
Take more pictures and works great!
2002-10-18
| Just got a Kodak DX3500 and the card that came with it was really small and only took few pics. Got the simple tech one and it works great, really cool card. can take over 200 2mp pics at a time before having to download. This card is also very fast...go get one..... | ||

It does not work with Minolta 7i
2002-09-19
| It works with SimpleTech STI-UCF100 Reader, but not with Minolta 7i. It says "Unable to use card". Formating does not help. |
Works great
2002-08-31
| I bought one of these for my digital camera and it has been great. The camera writes the image to the card in less than a second and I have not had any data loss or corruption. | ||
You can't beat the bang for your buck
2002-08-23
| 256 MB of storage. That's like 5 million photos or something. (I haven't had the chance nor the reason to fill it up yet...) Huge storage space for a really reasonable price. You really won't need another Flash Card once you've got this one. I've had no problems at all with this. Make sure to get a good Flash Card Reader too, so you can easily transfer your photos from the Card to your hard drive. | ||
Fast and lots of Pictures - Love it!
2002-08-19
| The card that came with my Nikon camera was so small that I could not save very many images. Went to simple tek website and found their cards to be very fast, but also at good price. From their site I found amazon as place to buy and I am very happy. card works great and I can store hundreds of pics before having to download to my computer. I recommend. | ||

Does not work with Minolta DiMAGE 7i digital cam
2002-08-16
| I bought a SimpleTech CompactFalsh card of 256Mb to use with my digital camera (Minolta DiMAGE 7i) but it does not work ! The card works fine on my PC, but there is a compatibility problem with the digital cam. I guess SimpleTech must be aware of the problem since their tech support e-mailed me that they would post a patch on their website as soon as they would find one, but of course I had no clue of the compatibility issue before buying the card, so I hope this might help some potential buyers... | ||
Great value Super product
2002-07-29
| This CF card works amazingly well. I have always used Lexar Media CF cards but I have decided to go with Simpletech since they are much more affordable and performs equally to Lexar Media flash cards. I own a Canon S30 digital camera and this CF card works excellent with it. I will never overpay for a CF card again! | ||
Works fine in my Minolta Dimage S404
2002-07-19
| Based on earlier reviews, I was a little nervous ordering this card for my new Minolta Dimage S404 digital camera, but it arrived yesterday, and I've already put 26 pictures on it, and downloaded them successfully. No problems, lots of room. | ||
It works just fine...
2002-07-12
| I bought this CF card even after reading the reviews that mentionned the problems with the Minolta 7i. I put the card in my Samsung Digimax210SE, it worked fine. I put it in my Casio QV3500, the card wasn't recognized. I formatted the card using Windows and A CF reader/writer, slide it again in the Casio, it worked!! I can swap it from one camera to the other without problem. The speed now: it doesn't seem to be the fastest, but no slower than my IBM microdrive 350Mb. And why beeing so picky? A 256 CF card [inexpensive] after the ... mail in rebate, ... coupon rebate and free shipping from Amazon.com!... And look the reviews from www.dpreviews.com: the perfomances on CF cards varies if you're using a Canon or a Nikon camera. Conclusion: if it's too slow for your camera, use it as portable storage, it's a good deal for that price. |

Is NOT compatible with Minolta DiMage 7i
2002-06-22
| I purchased the 256 mb compactflash card to increase the number of photos I could take, however after inserting it into my Minolta Dimage 7i, it gives a message of "Unable to use card". I emailed Amazon with the results of my problem, and also asked if others had the same problem (they did not state there was any problem)and they promptly sent me another thinking I only had a bad compactflash. The SECOND one also gives the same message. I will be returning both. I have purchased another brand somewhere else and it works fine. So,If you own the Minolta Dimage 7i - save yourself some time and headaches in returning it - THIS WILL NOT WORK! | ||
Won't work in Dimage 7i
2002-06-11
| Inserting this card in my new Minolta Dimage 7i (digital camera), I get an "Unable to use card" error. The card is evidently incompatible with the 7i. Others have had the same experience. See the digital camera forums. Check the compatibility chart at minoltausa.com before you buy! |

Don't leave home without it.
2002-06-11
| I bought a 128 MB Flash Card when I bought the G2 from Amazon.com and that was a good move. I found that I like the higher resolution better and the 128 MB is great, but it takes a lot of bytes for the higher resolution. I bought the 256 MB and the first weekend trip I took it earned it's keep. With the 128, the 256 and the 32 MB as a backup, I don't have to take a lot of time reviewing pictures to make sure I get what I want. I can do that at home. I will admit that the low price was a big factor, it made the package complete. | ||
Great for the price.
2002-06-09
| I'm real pleased with the results of digital images shot using the SimpleTech 256MB compactflash as storage. It's speed seems to be on a par with my Microdrives or perhaps a slight bit faster.I think it's great for the price. | ||

Performance Varies Depending on the Camera
2002-06-03
| UPDATE: Well, I got it a few days ago and took some test shots with it on my Canon A40, plus tried both it and a more expensive SanDisk (128mb) card with the SimpleTech USB CF reader. I really didn't see a significant difference. Both were plenty fast in the camera and in the transfer. I cannot find fault. I'll stick by the words below. You need to do your homework because some cameras don't work well with all cards, but if you've got a Canon, this baby works great. ====================================================== After reading the reviews, I decided to see if someone had tested a variety of cards. I found a good review at Digital Photography Review. They tested various high-capacity cards (512 mb range) in various cameras. Yes, the Simpletech is one of the slowest cards in a Nikon 995. It came in at less than half the speed of a Lexar 16x. On the Canon EOS 1D and D30 as well as read/write tests on a firewire (IEEE 1394) card reader, the SimpleTech card beat the Lexar 16x every time. It's not easy to pick the best CF card for your particular camera because there aren't good established benchmarking standards and what works great in one camera can be a dog in another. But from what I've seen in terms of people testing the SimpleTech, though it doesn't work well with Nikon, it works great with a lot of other cameras. I've ordered one and I'll update this review when my Canon A40 and Simpletech 256 come in. For now I'll give it 4 stars so as not to distinctly affect the rating in one direction or another. |

Slow on Nikon 995
2002-05-08
| I read the reviews on this card and bought it. On my Nikon 995 it is NOTICEABLY slower than [other] cards. In particular, the "writing to card" icon in the camera's monitor, which I never saw with the other cards, is always there after taking a picture with this card. I'm hoping that this is not a Terrible Thing, since I don't often take many pictures one right after the other, and the camera DOES have a memory buffer. But instinctively I wish I had sprung for the extra [$] and gotten a faster card. |

Does wonders for your digital camera!
2002-05-02
| My digital camera came with a dinky 8MB CF... by getting one of these 256MB ones, I more than 10x increased the amount of pics I can take! YES!! Also got the Flashlink reader to speed up getting my images to the computer. | ||
Best 256MB value I've seen
2002-05-01
| The card is great! Installed in my Canon Power Shot S30 with ease. Access times are fast. The card is cheap. And it holds 250 1600x1200 pics at no compression. | ||

Works like a charm with my Canon digital camera!
2002-04-30
| I recently purchased a Canon G2 digital camera and its great! I wanted a larger capacity compactflash card and went with Simpletech. I heard from DP Review that they work well with Canon digital cameras, and take it from me, they do!! Not much else to say, other than getting the Simpletech Flashlink reader will get your images from your camera to PC really fast!! | ||

| It's souond like the competition has infiltrated the the reviews. I am not sure what they mean by the quality not being consistant! Simpletech is a ISO 9001 Mfg and can not comprimise their quality! Two weeks after going live with their 256MB card at Amazon it became the #1 selling card! I purchase this card along with many others from DP review. They all claimed that the performance was superior than the many of the professional cards currently being offered. The card is fast and I gave many referals to my freinds and they are all pleased with their purchase. I hope this helps | ||

Great card for my Canon Powershot G2 Digital Camera
2002-04-29
| I just bought the Canon Powershot G2 digital camera... comes with a small compactflash card so I upgraded to a 256MB on from Simpletech. Now I can take a bunch of pictures in one shoot, plus have my smaller card for back-up. You can never have too many compactflash cards! | ||

Plus this card takes pictures very fast. Good deal and great manufacturer. I am very happy with my Amazon purchase. | ||

Speed IS actually an issue!

| I wonder if the guy from Chicago was on to something when he mentioned the possible lack of good QC with these guys?! My card didn't lock anything up, but it wasn't as responsive as two other brands that I currently use (I won't name them so as to not start a brand loyalty debate). I do believe that I won't try them again until I hit upon their "good" cards though. | ||

Too slow? Fast enough? Unreliable is more like it!

| After reading some posts, I decided to see for myself how this card performed. I purchased two and put them to the test. I also like to use CF as a quick mini backup system using a usb reader. For reasons I can't explain, the first card would cause my whole system to pretty much freeze up. To double check if it was something else, I reproduced the problem 3 more times. I didn't think that would be likely but when I popped in my trusty Lexar, no prob!! So on to the second card. Guess what, no freezes, but the folks in the "it's a slow card" camp are right! Maybe the company just has a problem with their quality control division or maybe a bad batch got out or who knows? I just know I don't feel like saving a couple dollars is worth the headaches. Mine were returned. Good luck, though..... | ||

SimpleTech 256: Speed does not appear to be a problem...
2002-04-10
| I was a bit concerned buying the SimpleTech card after reading the review "Extremely Slow". However, I have a Canon A40 digital camera (Windows 2000 using USB) and have NOT noticed any difference (without any precise measurements) in writing/reading speed between the SimpleTech and the original CompactFlash card that came with the camera (Canon 8mb)... | ||

Check out the SPEED! From a Digital Guru.

| I've read many reviews about Compact Flash card speed and a couple of them here on Amazon. I read one review that listed some very high speeds for other brands, above 8000 kb/s. I don't know where that data came from, but in independant photo review sites, this SimpleTech card screams. No other brand was faster. By the way, no brand has ever tested in Camera's that even came close to 8000 kb/s or above. Most CF cards test in at around 2000 Kb/s, some well known brands(SanDisk and Lexar) are at 800kb/s not 8000!!!! If you really want the truth, no card does well in Nikon's. They read at one bit, other cameras,Canon, Minolta etc read with 4 bits, are more advanced and produce superior results with both read and write speeds. The more advanced Camera's do make a difference. Check out independant reviews first, before you buy a camera or a card for your camera. |

A new competitor, a better price....
2002-03-12
| ...and I'll take it! A 256 meg card in my Canon S100 set to its default resolution got a reading of 1578 shots available! That's an incredible amt of space and for someone heading off on an extended trip. I have been following CF costs on a dollar-per-meg basis for some time, and while the newest & largest cards have tended to carry a premium, this one does not. It is under fifty cents per meg, less than 1/4 of what it cost per meg only 18 months ago! | ||

Create Digital Photo Albums
2002-03-12
| I decided to get another compact flash card from SimpleTech since I liked how my other one performed with my digital camera. I'll probably get some more so I can have digital photo albums of the different events and places I go to. It really helps to get the compact flash reader as well... I can download all my pictures to my computer really fast!! The reader is Amazon's number B0000633DT. | ||

Don't be fooled by gimmicks

| I have done much research to the benefits of these new faster cards. 4x,8x,12x 16x or Ultra? What do you buy? It's Simple! That is SimpleTech. Why pay a premium when SimpleTech cards perform equal to or faster than these high speed cards. SimpleTech are high speed! and require 25% less power. If you do not believe me check out DPReview.com. Lots of pictures and fast

| Just got my new Nikon Coolpix 5000 digital camera, but needed more picture storage capacity. So I checked all over the web for CompactFlash cards and found this 256MB CF card from SimpleTech and purchased it. I can now store hundreds of high megapixel pictures and this card is fast too! I am also looking at the FlashLink USB reader for this card from SimpleTech, STI-UCF100, as a better way to transfer the pictures from card to computer. Very happy with this product. It made my digital camera better! |
