| Product Description |
| The Sigma SD14 Digital SLR camera uses the innovative, Foveon X3 direct-image-sensor that is capable of detecting red, green and blue light at every single pixel. The colors produced by this three-layered image sensor, which works like photographic film, create high definition images, rich in gradation and with impressive three-dimensional detail. There's absolutely no loss or distortion of the optical data which is transformed into a faithful image, with no omissions. The SD14 Digital SLR camera features four JPEG recording modes, a large and bright pentaprism viewfinder with 98% coverage, a built-in flash with a Guide Number of 11, 5-point AF system, a large 2.5" 150,000 pixel resolution LCD monitor as well as a user friendly design. The durable shutter mechanism has a lifespan of over 100,000 cycles, and is ideal for the demands of professional digital photography. Also included is the Sigma Zoom Super Wide Angle AF 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC Macro Autofocus Lens. The Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC Macro lens is a large-aperture lens with a maximum f/stop of f/2.8 in wide angle setting. The super wide-angle capability of this zoom lens (equivalent range of approx. 29-119mm when used with a Sigma digital SLR camera) makes it ideal as an everyday large-aperture lens. In addition, the maximum magnification of 1:2.3 also enables close-up photography. DC lenses are exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras. The image circle (rear of lens) is made to match the smaller dimensions used for the image sensor on digital cameras. As a result these lenses are also more compact and lightweight, and are better matched to digital SLR cameras. |
