| We purchased this item to replace a similar lost program that we use in conjunction with our scanner. Older version works well with the scanner so no need to pay more. |

| After taking Photoshop class at our local college, I realized how much I would use certain Photoshop tools. Photoshop Elements gives me all of the tools that I would use most frequently, at a MUCH lower cost than for the full program. I use these tools daily. |

I got this for my MacBook with OS X and Dual-Core Intel Processor. Unfortunately, Elements 2.0 isn't compatible with Macs with Intel processors. This was nowhere in the description of the product, which is odd because Intel processors in Macs are fairly common these days. So, basically I've got great software I bought to use on my MacBook, but instead can only use it on my PC.
I'm leaving a poor rating not because it isn't a quality product, but because buyers are so poorly warned of compatibility conflicts. The aforementioned rating only applies as long as this information is absent. |

The Older the Better! Adobe for President!!

| As with many things, sometimes the old way is the best way. I found that the older versions of this program do the heavy lifting without all the bells and whistles getting in the way. Version 2 is a workhorse! It is stable, easy-to-learn (difficult for clowns though), and has many features of Photoshop without complicated steps. It's not a program that would be that useful to a professional who needs a great deal of color-correction, masking, curve adjustments, etc. Just a solid program-reminds me of my old blender that I use every morning. Always starts up! |
