Easy to use, Lightweight, Perfect!
2008-11-02
| This tripod is perfect for the casual photographer. It's lightweight, portable, easy to use and the price is unbeatable. I brought it to our camping trip. No problems with outdoor use. It has a hook on the bottom for weights if needed in windy conditions. Overall this is the best tripod you can get for your buck. :) | ||
great !!

| great tripod
easy removal of camera, no need to unscrew the camera there are two built in levels. the tripod is capaple of tilting, panning, and tipping 90 degrees. |

CAUTION WITH HEAVY LENS
2008-10-22
| Good quality, but tends to let the camera drift down with a heavy lens on it, regardless of how much you tighten it down. Overall very happy with it. | ||
Affordable tripod
2008-10-12
| Happy, happy! Joy, joy! I recently purchased a HDD camcorder and used it to film an event for a friend. I took some good shots from various angles but there are spots where I shook with the camera from movement. I looked around on several sites and the Digital Concepts TR-60N tripod was the best economical choice for me. It is the perfect height for me fully extended and collapses nicely. It is my opinion that this tripod can be used by all, from beginner to pro. Set up and adjustments take seconds. I recommend this tripod to everyone who wants to get a tripod for camera, camcorder, or whatever. | ||

TR-60N
2008-09-13
| As other reviewers have stated this tripod is definitely cheaply-made, and not very "solid" feeling. Nonetheless - it works, and should be adequate for those who only require use of a tripod every once in a while.
I'm definitely happy with my purchase (it can be found cheaper elsewhere, i.e. online auction sites), and would only move on to something more expensive if I found myself actually using a tripod more than a few times a year. |

Digital concepts TR-60N
2008-09-07
| Even thought the price is tempting, this is a very "cheesy" tripod, which with even a little pressure on the capture button, made the whole assembly move. Not very impressed. | ||
Great tripod for the price!
2008-09-06
| This is a great sturdy tripod for holding my camcorder. It is also very portable to take on trips or to a local party. I highly recommend this tripod. | ||
Another tool in the toolbox
2008-08-30
| A good "First Tripod" for 35mm and small digital cameras. I will be `stressed' should you try to use it with `big' telephoto lenses. Light weight makes it a `take me along' item provided that you do not exceed it's limitations. | ||
good for the price
2008-08-29
| For this price, this was well worth it. You can pay twice as much for a better tripod, but if you need a cheap tripod - this will work. | ||
love it!
2008-08-17
| I'm loving this tripod. So far, I've only used it for indoor shots of food for my blog, but my pictures are so much clearer. Of course, any tripod would accomplish that but I really like the size and the infinite number of positions I can put my camera into. | ||
good for the budget
2008-08-10
| Yeah it looks cheap, but look at the price. It is extremely light-weight and easy to use. The fact that it comes with a carrying case is a good bonus. | ||
Great deal for the ocassional tripod user
2008-08-06
| Love this tripod, although I do know that if you're a very frequent tripod user you might want to spend some more money ....
I use my tripod not too often and it's doing the trick for me. Legs are not flimsy, nice bag included, legs lock well. |
Very good deal!
2008-08-03
| I just received this tripod bought directly from Amazon.
First of all I have to say that the delivery was extremely fast, not like the stuff you buy in stores different from Amazon...You never know when the stuff will arrive and how, thus I strongly racommend to buy things from Amazon Store and disregard from other stores even though they might offer things for some dollar less! About the tripod, of course you cannot use it in 50 mph wind but for indoor or normal conditions outdoor it's great and very versatile. It stands perfectly my Sony Alpha 200 that is not the lightest LSR in the world! In conclusion, I strongly racommend it! It's a good deal for the money you are paying! |
real bargain
2008-08-02
| I was hestitated when reading bad review about this Tripod. But decided to go with good review posted by others. I made a good decision. The adjustable legs are really helpful when I place Tripod on ROCK to get a nice picture view. The material might look cheap but not fragile as some people reviewed. It is strong enough to hold my Canon Digital Rebel XSi with Zoom. Light enought to carry ( with carrying bag include ) and ez to extend and close.
Only issue I had was the center rod holding three legs together, which go loose at times and with cautious mind,it is OK. |

Prefect Tripod for a first time user
2008-07-28
| Digital Concepts TR-60N Camera Tripod is a perfect tripod for me, a first time user. We are fond of taking lot of outdoor pictures & videos during our trips to various trials (Moderate, Difficult), Mountains, Beaches, State Parks & crowded tourist places. To take the pictures & videos more steady and also to take our own pictures, we needed a tripod that is easy to carry and also something that can be set up fast. TR-60N proved to match the exact tripod that we were looking to own.
Pros #1. Tripod is easy to set in less than a minute which makes taking photos/videos turnaround time faster #2. It stands perfectly on any terrain and adjusts itself well #3. Its carry bag is a plus and is very easy to carry. #4. Has two bubbles giving more flexibility to adjust #5. Light but strong enough for a Cannon point n shoot camera and Song DVD Camcorder |

Bought as a gift.

| I got the tripod as a gift and haven't seen it but the recipient said it was great. | ||

Low cost, light weight, light duty.
2008-07-11
| Not a bad little tripod for $9.00 plus shipping, but don't plan to use it for professional photography results, or to hold a camera much heavier than a point-and-shoot (based on my Canon A720is on this tripod). It is light weight and relatively small, so it will make a decent travel tripod, and I plan to use it on my local bicycle trips for some nature photos. The pan and tilt functions stick, so I disassembled the tripod and applied a little grease, but it still has some backlash and sticks a little. The case is unpadded but reasonably well made, the shoulder strap is a little short for a somewhat large male (me), but it will still work OK. As an aside, the case straps perfectly on the top of my bicycle handlebars to make transporting easy, and an added bonus is I can replace the tripod with my take-down fishing rod in the case to pedal a few blocks to the nearest fishing hole! When I first set it up, one of the bottom legs pulled completely out with its clamp attached. I didn't want the inconvenience of sending it back, so, after 15 minutes of frustration I finally got the clamp re-attached to the upper leg. The quick release shoe must be removed to attach/detach the camera, and I haven't been able to find a second shoe listed anywhere to fit this tripod, which defeats the purpose of being able to quickly switch between 2 or more cameras using the quick release. The bubble level near the shoe is just an empty yellow tube (no liquid, no bubble!). Still, this tripod should serve its purpose well, as long as it is not banged hard against something. So, if you want to dabble a little in nature photography or need some support for macro shots with a small camera, this tripod should fill the bill for a year or so, if you take care of it. If the price goes above 9 or 10 dollars, forget it, pay a little more for a better tripod, it will be worth it. | ||

Excellent Lightweight with Carrying Case
2008-06-19
| turned out to be pretty good, lightweight n look at the price ! Ain't it cheap ?? | ||
Great little tripod!
2008-06-18
| This tripod is small, light, and inexpensive. It didn't have instructions but didn't need them; my inquisitive 6 year old (mostly) put it together while I wasn't looking. It has a quick release; the hardest part is attaching the quick release plate to the camera. I've gotten good results taking long-exposure photos of the night sky. When it folds up, it is very light and compact and comes with a convenient case. But when extended, it is quite a nice useful height. If you just want a nice, small, cheap, effective tripod, this is the one to get. | ||
Great value
2008-06-18
| Great tripod for the price. Feels a little flimsy at first but it works great, is easy to set up, and the price is right. | ||
Best Tripod for the price !!!
2008-05-30
| I really loved. Simple, lightweight and large !! And the price is the best !!! | ||
Ok for non-professional, traveling or beginner
2008-05-29
| I read a lot of the reviews and wasn't sure what to expect from this tripod, so I decided to try it out for myself. I'm planning a trip so I wanted something that was easy to carry and lightweight. This tripod definitely offers that. It also has quite a few adjustments for such an inexpensive tripod.
However, if you are serious about photography I would skip buying this. I tried it out on my Nikon d40 and found that the mounting plate doesn't screw in tightly (causing the camera to swivel when turned to a downward/upward position). I've used professional level tripods and they are definitely worth the money. If you're looking for something really sturdy and high quality I wouldn't really recommend getting this tripod. |
Great basic tripod
2008-05-23
| Great tripod for the price. It is light and easy to carry. Has a satisfactory hight and range of motion. Not super stable because of the weight - but the trade-off is well worth it. I definitely recommend this product. | ||
Are you serious? For the money, this thing rocks!
2008-05-23
| Light, portable, not costly, has built in leveling and amazing stability. Not sure what else you could possibly want. Paying more is usually not "better", just paying more. This tripod will do it all. | ||
Not for camcorders , bad product.
2008-05-19
| This probably one of the worst products I've ever bought. So disapponited. Firstly the tripod that was sent to me was a used one but sold to me as NEW. You could clearly see that it was a returned item. Had scratches all over. I don't mind used items but what I don't like is paying for a new item but shipped a used one. Secondly, the tripod is horrible. It makes this squeeking sound when you go up and down and not only that but it also does not turn smoothly as it's supposed to when you use the camcorder. Imagine you record something important and you have all those squeeking sounds when you turn up and down and sideways? I'm guessing it's ok for people who will be using it for small digital cameras but not dSLRs. I wouldn't use it with my E-510. It might collapse down when used with Zuiko 70-300mm lens.
Just horrible product overall. But as they say "you get what you pay for". This tripod is going right back at amazon. |
Great tripod photo class, don't expect it to do much else.
2008-05-05
| You can definitely tell that this tripod was not meant for professional use. Other tripods I have used we're easier to adjust and didn't move after tightening. This tripod feels a little cheap, yes, I only spent $20 on it, so I guess I couldn't expect more. This tripod did great for my wife's photo class, however I think we'll be needing a better one if she continues pursuing photography. | ||
Complete Garbage
2008-05-05
| I bought this together with my Nikon D60. I can tell you right off the bat it is a piece of junk and a waste of money. At first I was somewhat impressed and the sturdiness of the body and its build quality seemed decent, but the head is such junk that it does not screw to my DSLR properly and the camera is left slumped and wobbly. Because of this you can not take a simple, straight photo, and feared constantly for my camera. It doesn't even let you adjust the tilt vertically up or down. This is complete junk, worth spending the $20 toward a better tripod. | ||
Quick and easy
2008-04-30
| Very easy to use and nice bag and handle. Quick release is a good feature. | ||
Too good for its price
2008-04-15
| One of my friends suggested this to me. I just wanted a tripod that does decent job with a digital camera. I even wanted to use it for my camcorder too. Yes, this tripod is not for the camcorder, if you expect smooth movement. But it still does enough to take good videos. The material used is cheap, but the features it came with are pleasing especially for the <$20 price. The extra things I found were 1) A properly positioned handle, 2) Two bubble levellers, 3) Adjustable rubber feet and 4) Extra cushion on the legs. Impresseive! Also it came with the free carrying case. Yes, I agree you may need to be careful while transporting it since the material doesn't look very strong. But I wouldn't expect anything more for its price. If you feel that you are risking your expensive camera/camcorder I am sure you would go for an expensive and stirdy one. | ||
Great Tripod for the price
2008-03-17
| I did not want to spend a lot of money to get a tripod for just ocationally use for my Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-18 digital camera, which I also bought thru Amazon. For only $20, this tripod has everything I can ask for, and is well made for the price. It is light weight and easy to setup. I am very pleased with the purchase! | ||
Excellent product for the price
2008-03-08
| The product is excellent. This is my first tripod, and I am completely satisfied... an instruction manual would have saved me about 10-20 minutes (considering that I have had no experience with tripods), but other than that I have nothing but praise for this product. | ||
TR-60N Review
2008-03-04
| Great product for indoor and/or light duty use. Not for heavy duty or rugged work because of plastic gears and mechanisms. Comes with a soft vinyl carrying bag. No user manual supplied though but easy to figure out if you are technically inclined. | ||
Great Price - OK Quality
2008-02-24
| This tripod is stable enough to hold my Rebel XT, but not tremendously stable. The movement of the legs is semi-fluid and the quick release latch gets stuck sometimes. But hey, it was $20.
This will be a good starter tripod to let me know whether or not I want a more expensive unit. |
You Get What You Pay For
2008-02-21
| While this product is labeled as a digital tripod it is certainly not for use with a DSLR. The quick release mechanism, while it sounds like a good idea, is not (unless you want to keep it attached to your camera at all times). The product is poorly made but the design concept is good. On the positive side, it is light and portable. The leveling bubbles are a nice touch. On the negative side is the instability of the quick release mechanism. If you put a DSLR on it, it will wobble. The wing nut controlling the horizontal rotation did not function and returning the product for this is not worth the grief. Do your self a favor and spend a little more money for a more substantial product. You'll be happier in the long run. | ||
Value for money !
2008-02-13
| I got this tripod with doubt, whether it was worth for $20.00 . And to my amazement it was. Not extremely sturdy, but works good enuf for me as a beginner. Excellent resource for starters. Definitely, recommed it. | ||
Digital Concepts Tripod
2008-02-06
| This is the perfect tripod for the casual family photographer! It is light weight yet strong and sturdy, easily adjustable, and collapses down to a convenient size. The carrying case makes it easy to tote along on vacations, kids recitals, anywhere. | ||
Smaller digital cameras..................
2008-01-29
| This product was not intended for the larger SLR or Digital cameras. The head is plastic and not stable enough to hold the weight of your high dollar cameras. The concept and the Production are correct. This tripod needs to be upgraded to a light weight aluminum to hold the larger SLR and Digital cameras. It works fine on the smaller three through eight mega pixel cameras that are light weight cameras used with the timer and on automatic. | ||
TR-60N Review
2008-01-28
| This product is an all around excellent product. It's lightweight, easy to use and has many features and functions to be able to get a variety of camera angles. It was intended for our video camera but fits for our digital still camera as well. I highly recommend this product! | ||
cheapy, awesome tripod
2008-01-24
| The price is cheap, it kinda feels cheap, but it works great. It's pretty much aluminum and plastic, very light, has a handle on the side that can be useful, comes with a handy carrying bag, and has a hook underneath in case you need to add some weight to it. I use it for my dslr until I can buy a really nice one, and it does it's job just fine. The picture shows a metal and plastic handle, but the handle is all plastic so you know. If you're looking for a cheap one, this'd be the cheap one to get. | ||
awesome tripod
2008-01-23
| 3 of us on an art club bought this tripod coz its like $10 plus shippin, a tripod less than $20 , how could u go wrong with that, yeah its kinda flimsy and made out of plastic , but if u treat it gently it would take you to the roughest shooting location and be able to utilize it.....
and for those peeps who broke some part of it , one of my buddy did too, because he havent use a tripod before, so he forgot to loosen up some parts of it , before rotating whatever..... i recommend this product, but once again operate it gently, cause its made of plastic...... |
Excellent for the price!
2008-01-12
| This tripod is very convenient and has all the functions you need from a tripod. I like the design of the hook in the center where you can hang a heavy bag to increase the stability. | ||
Tripod
2008-01-08
| I purchased this as a gift. My son is very pleased with it. It has more features than the one he owned previously. | ||
They just shouldn't produce items this cheap
2007-12-22
| This is no fault of 47th. Street Photo, but this tripod is junk. The price is so cheap that I selected it for my wife because she is interested in photography and I thought it would be a good starter model. I planned on replacing it with something better if she ended up actually using it.
The plastic on the tripod is very cheap and brittle. She tried to turn the crank to extend the camera upwards and the plastic gear broke off some spokes, rendering useless the ability to raise and lower the camera. Also, the camera doesn't seat into the top very well. It's wobbly. When you turn the camera on it's side to take a portrait picture, I was actually afraid it would come loose. With the shipping, all I did was add $22.00 to the price of the new tripod I will end up purchasing. Bottom line: They just shouldn't make things this cheap. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for something that will last longer than 2-3 days. |
Crank handle broke at FIRST turn
2007-12-15
| Cheap plastic handle on the crank broke off on less than one turn. Luckily I was inspecting it before mailing it across the country as a gift. Inspection of other parts shows poor assembly, fit & finish and very rough (SHARP) edges. PLEASE put your hard earned money elswhere. | ||
Etra Length
2007-12-14
| I loved the price and the tripod is great for all my projects. I say take your time and learn to work all the different positions and this tri-pod will pay for itself over n over again Top Notch!!!!!!!!!!!! | ||
Great
2007-11-22
| This is a great tri-pod no matter the price. Allows you to take great pictures, and is very light and compact,I'm glad I went with this then a more expensive one. | ||
Sending it back
2007-11-20
| I am planning on sending this tripod back as soon as I get back home. I bought it right before a trip to Paris, and first set it up while I was out sightseeing. It's nice and light, and easy to carry around, but it doesn't hold the camera tightly enough. I tried shooting a few pictures at night, but the tripod was so wobbly, that they were blurry. Also, when I adjusted the tripod to take a vertical picture, my camera almost fell off the top and onto the ground. It's a cheap piece of junk. | ||
Much better than I expected, given the price.
2007-11-14
| I couldn't be more pleased. All the features of more expensive tripods, but well-built nonetheless. | ||
best choice for first timers
2007-10-29
| I bought this product reading the reviews. I was looking for a tripod for my KODAK Easyshare camera and was wondering whether this tripod would be compatible with it..and it was! Its a great product with great features.I had never used a tripod earlier and this proved out to be a good experience for a "first timer". | ||
Very good
2007-10-28
| I find it very convenient and easy to use. No problems in adjusting height and securing it tight. No screws to tighten. Our earlier tripod, though worked good for some time, the screw tightening turned out to troublesome. | ||
Good inexpensive tripod
2007-10-28
| It has all the features that I would expect for an inexpensive tripod and functions well. Would definitely recommend for those who need a tripod on the go and don't need to worry if something happens to it. | ||
Cheap and best
2007-10-27
| If you are looking for a simple but elegant one, this is the best product for the price. It's not very sturdy like the expensive one, but serves the purpose for everyday use! | ||
not bad
2007-10-09
| for the price. more stable than a tripod i bought previously and the price was the same. | ||
Worth for the amount
2007-10-02
| This tripod has all the features compared for the price we pay. I would say as one of the best tripod in its category. | ||
Great value
2007-09-28
| I needed a cheap & lightweight tripod for my DSLR while traveling, due to a shipping delay, I bought a similar tripod from Ritz camera for $40 to get me thru a Denver trip. Once I returned this tripod was waiting, not only did it have all the features and similar build as the $40 tripod from Ritz, it had more! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the slight instability at max height extension which makes camera suject for vibration and slight motion from even a slight breeze, but there is a hook present where you could secure some extra weight if desired. This is an unbelievable value!!! | ||
Cheap and high quality
2007-09-21
| Great value! Unless you are a professional photographer I doubt you'll need any other tripod. | ||
A great tripod for the money
2007-09-20
| Even if I had paid three times as much for this tripod, I would have still considered it a good deal. The build quality is great and the price is even better. I anticipate using this for many years of 35mm photography. | ||
Good Tripod
2007-09-19
| This tripod is better then I was expecting for that price. It's a good deal! | ||
Good value
2007-09-15
| This product does what is supposed to do but will not last forever. For the price is perfect, though. | ||
Great Tripod for the price!
2007-08-14
| I bought this tripod for a upcoming trip. The price was just want I wanted to spend just in case I had to abandon the tripod along the way. I was quite surprised that this tripod had all the same adjustments as one of my more expensive tripods, not nearly as well made but functional. It would make a great starter tripod for the budding photog or a inexpensive back up. | ||
works great for the cost
2007-08-08
| this is my first tri-pod and i am as amateur as they come when it comes to photography and video recording, but this tripod has done the jobs i have needed. great bargain for your basic tripod. | ||
Compact and sturdy
2007-06-22
| I was suprised at the quality and stability of this tripod considering it's inexpensive price tag. It works just fine for what I need it for.. family photos where I'm included in the picture! It's great for those tricky zoomed in shots and evening shots where you have to keep the camera perfectly still. I have no complaints... it's a great little tripod! | ||
Not for heavy DSLR
2007-06-01
| The head on this tripod is somewhat weak and does hold a heavy DSLR, I.E. Nikon D200, very steady. The camera would wobble for 2 to 4 secs after pressing the shutter release, making it unusable for slow shutter speed work.
This would be OK for a light compact or small DLSR. |
tripod is a great piece of equipment
2007-05-14
| we get great usse of the tripod and as usual we have had great service from amazon. | ||
A wonderful Tripod
2007-05-14
| I bought this last year and it is a great tripod. It is easy to use and sturdy by construction. It is a great bargain at an affordable price. Good value for money. | ||
great tripod
2007-03-22
| Pros:
* Cheap * Light * Folds and doesn't take much space * Comes with a bag for storing and carrying * Does the job Cons: * Mine came without an instruction manual! I never used a tripod before, so I wasn't sure how to put it together and attach my digital camera to it. But after about 30 minutes of fumbling with it, I figured it out. |

| Great Product and Great vendor, they responded to my inquiries immediately regarding shipping. I am very pleases with the tripod and the company. | ||
Very cheap tripod, DON'T buy it!
2007-02-12
| The head is too loose to hold my Canon Rebel XT firm. When I tried to tighten the handle, the plastic head broke into 2 pieces. And this is my very FIRST use of this tripod! | ||
Good tripod for the price.
2007-02-09
| When I first took this tripod out of the box, I said... wow, this does look kind of cheezy. It wasn't the best build, plastic was real cheap quality etc. Then I put it in perspective. For around 15 bucks, this thing isn't so bad. And honestly, once you get to using it, you forget it's a cheapy. It does what it's supposed to do. It will support your lightweight digicam or camcorder. If you want a tank of a tripod, look elsewhere.
I only have two real concerns about this tripod. One is the crank to raise the middle shaft. This is the low quality plastic I speak of, and I know I could easily break it if I wanted to. So you need to crank gently when you do to avoid breaking the crank and/or stripping the threads. Other than that, it's great for a bargain tripod. I'm satisfied. The other is the clamps on the extendable legs. They don't clamp down quite tight enough and can slip. Granted, they only really slipped when I pushed down on it to see how tight the grip was, but it may become looser with time and use. We shall see. For now it's a good buy for the price. If you are a point and clicker who's interested in maybe getting some pictures of things you may need a tripod for, this one should do fine. |

Small price, Big Tripod
2007-01-18
| I read over 75% of the reviews before I bought this and I was NOT
disappointed! It has better feet than ones I looked at for 6 times the price, an excellent 1st Tripod for us novice photo bugs. |
Great product at a bargain price.
2007-01-18
| Very good price for this product. I've been using for over a year. Work great at party and using it as to record my baby boy (since I have unsteady hands). | ||
Works Well, good bang for the buck
2007-01-11
| I used this tripod quite a bit when I went for my vacation. Its not as robust as I want it to be but it does its job well. If you want to start with something cheap this is it. | ||

EXCELLENT PURCHASE
2007-01-10
| We wanted a tripod to be able to take our family's picture for Christmas cards, and didn't want to go to a photography studio to have them taken. We ventured into a park, and took about 30 photos, and the tripod was sturdy and steady, and very user friendly to set up. Overall, you can't beat the price for what you get....It's so easy to carry, as it comes with it's own carrying case, which is a bonus. | ||
Excellent but...
2006-12-07
| I give this item 4 and a half stars because it is a cheap tripod, it's not a heavy weight and isn't meant for professional use, but it is really cheap and I've used it quite a few times, especially when I was on my camping trip. It got a litte bit dirty but it works and it did get blown down once by heavy wind, to my surprise it didnt break! Thanks Amazon.
Update: It's been almost a year of heavy use now and still nothing has broken off. It's safe to say that it was well worth of price! Thanks Amazon. |

Camera Tripod
2006-08-17
| I am delighted with my purchase (actually I used my Amazon Rewards to pay for it). It is easy to use & makes picture taking so much easier for someone who can't hold the camera still! It was a little awkward for me to set up until I got the hang of it, but now I have no problem. | ||
Great Value!
2006-08-06
| For someone who needs a tri-pod occasionally, like me, this product is a great deal.
Although a little plastic feeling, it gets the job done and feels like it'll last a long time if I take care of it. It has the level indicators, which are nice, and the easy slip off attachment for the camera. It meets my needs at a the price of a disposable camera. |
Very Portable

| Great product for its price, Works well with both my Canon DSLR & Handycam. Not very sturdy built, hence handle with care. | ||
Stay away from it
2006-08-01
| I bought this one in May 2006 based on decent review here. It looks okay when I first got it. It's very light. The head is difficult to tilt, but what you can expect for a cheap tripod. Last month I took it on my trip to Yellow Stone Natl Park and tried to use it with my Rebel XT camera for the first time. The plastic head broke into two pieces when I tried to tighten the handle. I tried to call the manafacturer (Sakar) to get replacement since it's under warranty. After waiting for over 15 minutes, I was told that I need to mail it to them to look at and repair. I had to pay shipping cost on my own. Since I only paid $12.99 to buy it from Amazon, the shipping cost will be almost the same as the money I spent on it. So I decided that it doesn't worth to get repaired due to it's low quality. Even if it's really cheap, it's no use if you can't use it in real life and ruin your photo opportunity. Save your self the trouble and spend these 13 dollars on a better tripod. You have been warned. | ||

Best deal

| I'm a beginner in photography, and I bought this tripod for my camera. It's only $12.99, but it's an amazing tripod. It has so many features, so many ways to adjust it (height, angle, pan, etc.). It's collapsable and comes with a carrying case. Worth way more than the $12.99 I spent, but I'm SO glad I did! | ||

It is better than I thought. Very satisfied. |

Great item for the money
2006-07-13
| I'm just starting out in photography and this little tripod fits all my needs. It is very light and the components are plastic in many places, but the price should indicate that to the savvy buyer.
I think it is a pretty good deal for those starting out. |

GREAT
2006-07-06
| I had a tripod before this one, and it was hard to carry, hard to open and hard to shut. This one is easy to open and shut and comes with it's own carry case. The one thing I love about it that is the same as my old one is that it has a universal connection. I can hook up any of my cameras! Good Buy at a Good price. | ||

| As soon as I figure out how to extend it to 57" I will like it better. No instructions come with this item. It is made very well and is very secure even on uneven footing.

Surprising Good Tripod at Low Cost

Great tripod

| Great tripod at affordable price. I was under the impression that this will not work for my camcorder and it only works with my digital camera, its best suited for both. | ||
nice travel tripod
2006-06-02
| for 12 bucks this is a total steal.
the tripod extends to my eye level (i'm 5'10") when fully opened, which is plenty high. its light, but probably not very durable. the tripod does have a hook at the bottom of it (my unit anyway) so you can tie something more substantial to it for more stablization, but as long as your camera isn't an ultra heavy SLR, it should be just fine. i'm using a sony DSC-H2 with it, and so far, i haven't had any problems. the head of the tripod is basically metal/pvc construction, it doesn't pan/tilt very smoothly, so this shouldn't be your camcorder tripod. for still photography tho, this is more than enough. the holder/bag that came with the tripod is very flimsy, it works, but i have a feeling that it'll break after a few more trips to the woods. |

bargain tripod

Good light weight tripod
2006-05-08
| This tripod works just great with today's small digital cameras. I used them with a large pair of 15x70 binoculars and it does struggle a bit but that is expected with 4-5 pounds of optics. If you're looking for a cheap tripod that has some great features you are not going dissapointed. | ||
Big bang for the buck!
2006-05-03
| I used this for my 8mm camcorder during my Daughter's recent school play.
It worked perfectly. What's this? A freaking carrying case included too??!!! The setup was easy, and the entire unit worked like a charm. For $13, it's like ya stole something. If you're looking for a tripod for occasional use, here it is! |

Pretty sweet deal
2006-04-30

| I have not gotten to really use this as of yet, but I am pretty impressed with what I got for the price. Some say its cheap and flimsy, but really - for under $20, seems like a wonderful deal. | ||
Great tripod for the price
2006-04-30
| This is a great tri-pod for the price. It is not for the professional photographer, but for the amateur photographer like myself using a digital point and shoot camera, it is perfect and at a great price. Highly recommended. | ||
Considering price... a keeper
2006-04-16
| This is not a suitable tripod for anything else more than amateur digital and analog photography and video cameras. The head is not fluid or anything and when you do move it, it gets sticky in the movement.
BUT: IT IS VERY LOW COST. IT is quite functional for still pictures. It has two bubble levels, and the base where you attach your camera is detachable, so you can fix you camera into it, and THEN place it in the tripod. Then you can take your camera off the tripod on a hurry if you want to photograph or film something else. That is: you do not have to screw/unscrew the camera into the tripod every time. I use it with my S2 IS canon camera, for normal and infrared still pictures. It provides ! |

Decent for the price

Digital Concepts Tripod
2006-03-18
| I like the basic features of this Tripod. They are more than I had anticipated for the price. The tripod is very lightweight--and that's a good news/bad news scenario. It's easy to carry and perfect for those occasions when weight is the issue, but it's clearly not heavy enough for occasions when you want to be sure your camera won't be easily shaken. In fairness, I must point out that the tripod includes a "hook" located at the bottom of the center shaft of the tripod on which you can hang something of weight that would help stablize the tripod.
The first one delivered developed a problem with the leg locking mechanism on the day after christmas. The replacement solved that problem, but the leveling bubble on the leg was incorrectly mounted and thus is useless to me. It's a nice light-weight tripod for simple projects or traveling, but probably not what you'd want for more serious work. |

Great for Beginners
2006-03-17
| I just got this in the mail and opened it to my surprise on how many features this thing has. First of, mine does come with a hook at the bottom and also a balance beam to let me know that I am at a flat surface and horizontally even. The legs offer adjustable lengths with 2 settings.
Cons: The overall feel of this is ok if you dont mind plastic. Other than that, This will be great for beginners like me getting into the DLSR arena. |
Good value for the price.
2006-03-17
| It was actually better than I expected in some ways, but the downside to me is that it is so light, which means being very steady when pushing camera buttons. I get around this by using the self-timer on the camera. Good value for the price though. | ||
great buy

| My item arrived sooner than I expected. I placed the order on a Sunday evening, it was delivered by early Tuesday morning. The product works great. Excellent quality for the price. | ||
Very good value.
2006-03-15
| It is definitely lightweight--both a blessing and a curse. Easy to tote, very functional. Without a weighted bag of rocks (hook for same is included), I don't know how suitable it would be with a heavy-lensed SLR or a video cam, but for most consumer digital cameras like mine, it's great. | ||

Best tripod in world for the price....
2006-03-02
| I have been looking at tripods for about 3 months and I really did not like the fact the most are 50.00 and up for a lot of nothing. Most dont have the hook on the bottom for a weight that I was looking at for the price. I saw this one and figured I would give it a shot for 20 bux and I am glad I did. After comparing mine against my buddies $56.00 tripod, I really see that it was worth the money, They are both almost identical but his is more plasticy and doest have the weight hook on it. The hook is a great feature, once you hook one up to it the tripod feels like its part of the floor. definately a key feature. love it all around. My only gripe is that I wish it was a little taller..Im 6 foot and a 59-62 would be a great size for me but thats the only gripe and I really could care less.. | ||
Can't beat the price....
2006-03-01
| This tripod is everything you'd expect for the price and a lot more. It makes a great travel tripod and is extremely light weight and would easily be backpackable granted you have the room for its roughly 20" folded length. Even if you don't have room inside your pack I found it's light enough to be strapped along side your pack. In my case it means i'm able to take a full size tripod mountain biking on the toughest of trails without worrying about destroying anything too expensize. (camera is kept in a lexan case) My only complaints would have to do with trying to take moving. Due to the cheaper components used to make this tripod, adjustments are less than fluid. A small amount of oil (triflow in my case) helped a lot. Finally the legs are just a little on the flimsy side making things slightly shaky when extended to it's full height. The bottom line is you can't expect Bogen quality for this price, but if you want a cheap, capable, and light-weight tripod that you can afford to destroy then this is a great buy. | ||

Good product for the price.

Broken within 1 week
2006-02-27
| I anxiously awaited the arrival of this tripod. My grandchildren were coming for a visit, and I was looking forward to taking many photos while they were here. Imagine my disapointment when I took it out of the carry bag, and it was in 9 pieces! The cheap plastic on the pan head was just shattered! It had been stored in a corner of the closet, and I had not touched it since the day it arrived. I opened the bag, and little pieces of broken plastic fell out. I don't have a clue why it would fall apart like that, but don't waste your money on this one. | ||
Broken On Arrival
2006-02-24
| I bought this in anticipation that despite it's cheap price it would do what I expected: Provide a stable, but light base to take pictures from. Unfortunately it was broken when I opened it up, the plastic is of a very cheap quality! Do yourself a favor, spend a little more and get a good quality tripod so that you don't have to take the chance that it will arrive broken, or worse yet, break during use. I wish I would've bought a better one up front and not wasted my time ordering this one. | ||
Decent tripod for video camera o small photo camera
2006-02-19
| I would recommend this tripod for anyone who has limited amount of money (<$100) and want decent tripod for camera that weights less then 2lb. I also tried it with my Canon 20D - it works, but not very good.
Someone reported that this tripod cames without the hook shown on the picture (it allows to make it more stable with additional weights). Mine came with the hook. The weight, quality of plastic and overall usability is also pretty good. |
Price and expectation are perfectly in-line
2006-02-09
| This is a great little tripod for travel and amateur shooting. It is sturdy and well built enough that it feels like a real bargain for less than $15. It also comes with a great little travel case that definitely comes in handy for transport. Also, another reviewer complained about it missing the weigh-down. Mine did come with the center weight-hook. If yours doesn't, perhaps you should exchange it. Mine looks exactly like the one in the picture.
I am only giving it 4 stars because I am extremely fussy and would have liked a smoother action on the friction head, but for the money I definitely won't complain. |

Nice product, Great price
2006-01-06
| A nice tripod, with easy-to-use controls, once you've found and/or figured them all out. Snap-locks on the legs are easy to use, and the legs are fairly sturdy. Tilt-and-pan head may not have a stability control, but for this price you want diamonds maybe? It's fairly smooth, and just get a good video camera with stability control built it. The center "lift" post and crank worked nicely; once again, not hand-tooled brass or steel, but once again, not $100-$200 either.
It will be used alongside of a pre-war (WW II) brass and steel tripod, of the kind "they don't make anymore" quality; a bit lighter, but good enough for almost-professional work, and a lot less valuable if anything did happen to it. All in all, it is nice. |
It is great
2005-12-28
| If far exceeded my expectation.....well designed...pretty good quality...can't beat it for the price even if it was twice as much. | ||
Light and cheap
2005-12-22
| Pros: Lite, has good stance, easy to deploy, the snaps hold well
Cons: The head is made from cheap hardened PVC plastic. Only good for light cameras. If you use heavy SLR lense, you will have problems shooting different angles. Really NOT ment for frequent adjusting. I owned one of these for 2+ years (bought mine in bhphotovideo.com for $40) A month ago the head knob broke. If you are serious about photography, look for better tripod with quality head. |
Good item for the price
2005-12-18
| I bought this item because I needed to stand for my canon rebel camera to take my son's pictures. My first impression was wow, this has all three knobs to control three height options. Three bubble levelers for levelling the camera. Great item. Good buy for the price if you get free shipping. | ||

Great Product for Great Price

| Actually I didn't expect too much for such a cheap tripod. But it is beyond my expectations! I highly recommend it! | ||
Great value for money
2005-10-18
| This is a full-featured tripod at a great price. It is very lightweight, but seems relatively sturdy. I've been using it only for indoor photography, so I'm not sure how it might fare in the outdoors. The relatively narrow span of the tripod legs made me wonder about the overall stability of it, but I tested it and this does not seem to be a problem--in fact it seems to be an advantage as the legs are less likely to interfere with photographer or subject. It comes with its own soft carrying case with shoulder strap (basic, but does the job), and also has a carrying handle permanently mounted on the tripod itself. Levelling is easy (and this is something I'm usually not so good at). This is probably not something for a professional photographer, but great for an amateur like me. I am such an amateur that I would have appreciated some kind of instructions for the use of the tripod. It came with nothing except the promotional pictures and text on the box, and it took me a while to figure out how to manage some of its features. | ||
Brilliant design, weak execution
2005-10-11
| This tripod has everything you would ever want, from it's quick release plate in the tilting head, to it's crank elevator with locking ring, to it's easy to use leg locks to its self leveling, gimballed rubber feet. The tripod's legs brace to the center post and lock. There are spirit levels on the the head and at the point where the legs meet. there is even a hook on the bottom of the elevator post for your camera bag or a weight for extra stability. The tripod is light, has a built in carrying handle and even comes with a carrying case. A tripod with all these features usually costs over $100. There is only one problem, its not that stable. The materials used to construct this thing are as cheap and flimsly as they could get away with. Its perfectly adequate for the very lightest of still cameras but I wouldn't recommend it for even the lightest of video cameras. The tilt head cannot be tilted or panned smoothly for even the most elementary of moving shots. The legs only extent to about 3' the last 1' of height is achieved with the center post which even when locked is wobbly. Not a design flaw, the instability is due entirely to the materials used in construction. It does rate 3 stars because of it's light weight, brilliant design and low cost but "buyer beware" this is only good for lightweight cameras. It's not a bad alternative to a fullsize tripod if you are tring to travel light and want something more substantial than a tabletop unit. | ||
I don't normally write reviews... so you should read this!
2005-09-29
| I don't usually take the time to write reviews... but I've appreciated all the other Amazon users that do so in aiding my purchase decisions and would like to reciprocate the favor.
First off... the item is just as pictured. Contrary to a previous post, there is a hook for stabilization. Nobody mentioned that the tripod has a directly mounted carry handle also (kinda like a briefcase handle). Pros: light, stabilizer hook, carry handle, carry case (perfect fit - doesn't add bulk), dual liquid bubbles, and quite study for the price (which is pretty damn cheap and sufficient for most users). Cons: materials used may not be the best quality... I wouldn't want to place my $5000 digital SLR on this (which I don't have), but if you're a pro, you'd probably spend >$100 for one anyhow. Very please with purchase. Highly recommend! |
Good and lightweight Tripod
2005-09-21
| It is certainly a good and lightweight easy to handle tripod. Knobs and swivel works good. Tripod is good as mentioned.
After practical experience with this tripod I thought I need more height than this 57" tripod. |
Good one for the price
2005-09-13
| For the price its definitely a good one, I gave 4 stars for one flaw that the top most extension not at al sturdy, but surely I dont need 60 inches hieght for my tripod.
Very handy when you are travelling, super light weight worth it for $13 Kiran |
lite weight and versatile
2005-09-08
| you cant expect more from this price. It's very lite but sturdy enough. I actually put the camera on it all the time, or at least with the mounting dock on the camera. It has a express design to mount and unmount the camera. It even has bubble indicators for leveling. | ||
Decent Equipment for the Price
2005-09-07
| Although it's nowhere close to top of the line, you can't beat the price. If you're looking for a lightweight tripod, I'd certainly recommend this. | ||
Great lightweight tripod
2005-08-27

Good deal on Digital Concepts tripods
2005-08-24
| At prices like these even below Wal-Mart's how can I go wrong? I bought two as stands for external flash (strobe) lights controlled wirelessly from a Nikon D70 digital SLR. Works great. A bit light to put the Nikon on (top heavy) but for a flash unit it's no a problem. Not flimsy or too light for me. | ||
Not worth for good photography
2005-08-22
| If you are serious about photography, this tripod will be a real waste. This may be good for video shooting, but for serious photography spend some more money and buy a good one. You will never regret this advice. | ||
more than expected.
2005-08-15
| It is worth to buy. more than you pay for. easy to use and works great. I gave 4 stars because the camera holder is a little inconvenient to attach to camera. Otherwise, everything is great | ||

Great value for the money
2005-07-15
| I'm not a professional, and I didn't really need such a big tripod. So I was considering buying a mini tripod for $7 or this guy. I'm glad I got it. It's not manufactured with the greatest materials but it's stable enough. If you're like me don't think twice, go for it. | ||
This one turned out to be crap
2005-06-21
| The handle thread is gone with in one use. I am wondering if there is any warranty on this item. | ||
I'm no professional, but it's great!
2005-04-20
| I bought this as a birthday present for my wife, for our digital camera. Neither of us have used a tripod before, but it was very easy to figure out, set up and start using. I see no faults with this tripod. I can't think of anything I would change about it! | ||
Cheap and low weight.
2005-03-31
| I have had this tripod for around 3 weeks now and have used it in many weather conditions. Overall the build is cheap and the weaknesses are the plastic moving parts. The screws are all metal and this makes the build a little stronger. The legs are great as are the levelers and options. Little stiff to make minor adjustments but I imagine these decrease with use.
Overall this is a great tripod for the price. The lightweight aluminium and plastic build are okay. I would recommend this tripod for the average user. The build is relatively small also which makes it easy for quick use in tight areas. |
A good bargain tripod
2003-10-02
| Overall, this is a decent bargain tripod. The legs appear to be aluminum, and most of the rest of the unit is plastic or PVC. It has a quick-release head for attaching your camera but it only comes with one quick-release attachment, which sort of reduces the utility of it, although I'm sure you can buy more somewhere. The BAD news is that this unit is cheap, light and flimsy. The GOOD news is that it is that it is cheap and light! For the price, I would call it an excellent value, especially for someone who needs to carry it around with them since it is so light weight. Many ultra-light tripods feature a hook on the bottom of the centerpost that allows you to tie a bag of rocks or dirt or whatever to weigh down the tripod for steadier shooting. Although the picture of this item shows such a hook, my unit did not come with one. Fortunately you can always tie a weight on with string if you need to. If you have a slightly higher budget I would recommend looking at the various tripods by Sunpak first. And if you can afford them I would also look at Slik brand tripods as well. |
