Good tripod bag

It holds my Manfrotto 3021N with either a ball head or a pan/tilt head attached, without a problem. The heads have to be oriented vertically to fit into the bag, but that's not an issue. The padding feels a little sparse, but it does the job. There's a 5 1/2 x 10 inch pocket on the outside that can be used for storing small flat items.
It's well built and the straps appear firmly fastened. It's travelled well in airline baggage compartments, although I worry about the strap handles and the shoulder strap catching onto something in the airlines' baggage handling systems. Seems like a little Velcro would make a way to stow the straps and keep them out of the way. Would also be better if the length of the shoulder strap was adjustable, and it seems like it should be, at this price. For those reasons, it gets four stars instead of five.
Regardless, with the tripod and its head in the bag, the whole package feels very light when slung over the shoulder, and it's easy to carry. Far, far better than lugging the tripod without a bag.
It does its job well. I'm glad I have it. |

Manfrotto 3280 Tripod Bag

| This is very well-made tripod bag that affords good protection for your Bogen-Manfrotto products. My 3011 tripod goes right in without having to remove the head and can throw it in the trunk of rental cars with assurance that my investment is well protected. Since I carry my camera bag and laptop as carry-on, I have found that the 3280 is flexible enough that you can set the head over to 90° in the bag with no problems and fit it in a hardsider suitcase and not have to check it seperately. All-in-all, a very good travel solution for high-quality equipment with the added benefit of peace of mind. Well, as long as the airline doesn't lose the bag. |

Not Bad but...

| I received the bag and its not much "padded" and the price is a bit more expensive then the generic brands... I guess it is "Bogen", so a bit more expensive... and there isn't even a shoulder pad for it. Materials alright but as I said, you probably can get a cheaper one with some other brand. |
